The whiny, outraged parents got their way initially, but it appears sports bettors will laugh last.
Earlier this month, we wrote a brief story about offshore sportsbooks deciding not to offer Little League World Series betting this year. 5Dimes sportsbook, which has offered Little League lines for nearly a decade, called it a “management decision.”
But make no mistake: The main reason Little League wasn’t offered is because the payoff isn’t worth it. As you might expect, betting on children’s games isn’t a cash cow—and the added scrutiny certainly isn’t something sportsbooks are interested in given the current political climate.
So, that was that. No Little League betting.
Then today happened.
