Year of the Favorites? ESPN’s Colin Cowherd offers record predictions for all 32 NFL teams

May 8, 2012

A day after Sportsbook became the first offshore to post NFL divisional odds, ESPN radio host Colin Cowherd offered his projected records for all 32 teams.

Cowherd chose six of the eight oddsmaker favorites as division winners, including the Patriots, Texans, Ravens, Broncos, Packers and 49ers. The two darkhorses, if you can call them that, were the Giants and Falcons.

“I know they just won the Super Bowl, and generally after winning the Super Bowl teams slide a little,” Cowherd said of the Giants, who he projects to finish 11-5. “But the Giants right now just don’t have a lot of holes.”

Cowherd expects the short-handed Saints to finish 7-9, a full three games back of Atlanta.

The best division? The NFC North.

Three teams are projected to finish 10-6 or better, led by the Packers at 13-3.
