NFL Week 10 Look-Ahead Lines: Bears slightly favored over Texans in Super Bowl preview?

October 31, 2012

Every week, the LVH SuperBook in Las Vegas releases “look-ahead” point spreads before the current week’s games have been played.

Some notable Week 10 nuggets:

  • There are three double-digit favorites on the board (Patriots vs. Bills; 49ers vs. Rams; Steelers vs. Chiefs), which will be handy for anyone still alive in NFL Survivor Pools.
  • In what could be considered a Super Bowl preview (at least according to some of the most recent futures odds), the 6-1 Texans are 1-point underdogs at the 6-1 Bears on Sunday Night Football.
  • The Eagles, the league’s worst ATS team at 1-5-1, are still projected to be home favorites over the NFC East rival Cowboys, albeit by a mere two points.
  • Only two road teams are favored, including the Broncos, who are listed as field-goal favorites at the suddenly hopeless Panthers. The Giants, riding a four-game winning streak and in command of the NFC East, will be 4-point road favorites at the struggling Bengals.
  • The awful Jaguars are favored by one point at home against 4-3 Colts, which is a mildly surprising line. Jacksonville did win at Indianapolis in Week 3, however, the team’s only win of the season.
