NBA Divisional Odds: Heat are heavy favorites in Southeast; Can Pacers hold off Chicago?

October 3, 2012

If you’re looking for decent value on divisional favorites in the NBA, chances are you won’t find it this season.

The Heat are 1/100 favorites to repeat as Southeast champs, while the Northwest (Thunder -1800) and Pacific (Lakers -3000) divisions are also expected to be predictable and unexciting.

Overall, the odds suggest that five of the six divisions will have back-to-back winners, with the Central being the only division to experience change at the top. Indiana finished eight games behind Chicago in 2011-12, but is a -175 favorite to win this season.

As the regular season approaches, we’ll provide a more in-depth look at each division. But for now, here is a list of NBA divisional odds released by the LVH SuperBook on Tuesday.
