The Divisional Round of the 2012 NFL playoffs hasn’t taken place yet, but 5Dimes already released some early lines for the possible matchups in the Conference Championship Round.
There are eight teams remaining, and subsequently there are eight different matchups that could take place next weekend.
Some of them — like a Broncos-Texans AFC Championship — seem highly unlikely, while others — like Green Bay hosting New Orleans in the NFC Championship — appear to have a good chance of happening.
In all eight games, the home team would be favored by at least 2.5 points.
But it’s that possible Packers-Saints showdown that would be a huge headliner, with an early over/under of 65. That, of course, would be an all-time high for an NFL game, breaking the record of 62 set in 2000 between the 49ers and Rams.
In the first game of the 2011 season, Green Bay beat New Orleans 42-34 at home, soaring past the over/under of only 47.5.
