When it comes to covering the NFL, few do it better than ESPN. But when it comes to predicting the outcomes of games, well, few do it worse.
On Friday, a day after the preseason ended, 16 of ESPN’s NFL experts released their predictions for the 2012-13 season. Here’s a look at some of the notables, based on a consensus:
- Nine of 16 experts picked Green Bay to win the Super Bowl. The Packers are currently +575 favorites to win. The only other teams picked? Atlanta, Dallas, New England and Philadelphia.
- Nine experts think Buffalo will snap its 12-year postseason drought with a trip to the playoffs as a Wild Card.
- Based on odds, the only non-favorites picked to win their division were the Falcons and Giants.
