The ESPN/USA Today college basketball coaches’ poll was released Wednesday afternoon and Indiana will begin as the No. 1 team in the country.
The Hoosiers currently have the third best odds to win the national championship behind Kentucky (+500) and North Carolina State (+650).
We’ve listed each team’s national championship futures odds next to their respective rankings below, but first, here are a few of the notables:
- North Carolina State is ranked sixth but has the second-best odds to win the national championship.
- Oddsmakers seem to differ with the coaches on Michigan. The Wolverines received a No. 5 ranking in the polls but are 22.5-to-1 to win the national title, which is worse than 13 other teams.
- The highest ranking for a non-BCS conference team went to Creighton (+7000), which opened as No. 15 in the polls.
- Florida State and Texas received the same amount of votes in the poll and share the No. 24 ranking.
