Golden Nugget’s Tony Miller says Games of the Year lines will draw early action, heavy interest

June 8, 2012

UPDATE: Golden Nugget released their “Games of the Year” point spreads for 111 different matchups on Monday morning.

When Golden Nugget Casino releases its annual college football Games of the Year lines on Monday, bettors will have plenty of options, particularly folks who are in town from Madison, Wisc.

Tony Miller, the Nugget’s sportsbook manager, confirmed in an interview on Don Best TV that there will be 111 lines released at 10 a.m. on Monday. Of those lines, expect to see plenty involving the Wisconsin Badgers.

“The Golden Nugget is very, very famous for Wisconsin people,” Miller told Don Best. “We’re their home away from home. They come in and pound the Badgers every year.”

Golden Nugget released lines for 104 games last year, and nearly half of them—45, to be exact—featured at least one SEC team. You can probably expect to see a similar allotment this time around, but the majority of other conferences figure to be well represented.

The Nugget, which is posting Games of the Year for the sixth time, has turned a profit in four of its first five years.

Rest assured, wiseguys will be lining up Monday morning ready to fire away at their early opinions.

“It’s gotten very, very popular,” Miller said. “It’s a fun thing.”
