I've never made a play here, but I found a spot that I really like, so I'm going to pipe up. One of my rules is to stay away from road favorites in soccer, but I'm taking Manchester City today @ Villareal as a -1 for +125.

City is a far superior team, and they're at a point that they NEED points in the Champions League. They've also caught a spot where Villareal NEED points. Normally a team like Villareal would just sit back against City and pick their spots trying to draw, but I don't think they have that option today. Villareal are at the bottom of the table and only have three games left, so sitting in a shell isn't going to work. City are also behind the second place team in goal differential, so they have reason to pile on if they get the chance; they should be on the attack throughout the game.

Also, City's schedule has allowed them to rest key players, so they're coming in with no injuries. Villareal, on the other hand, are down six players and had to call up strikers from their B and C teams (think minor leagues).

City beat Villareal at home on a stoppage time goal, but they were by far the dominant team and just couldn't find the net. I don't think Villareal gets that lucky this time. Good luck if you take the play.

I could have done this tonight if I remembered the thread, so many new threads on the front page..

I even told BTB earlier today I should be able to get an update done this weekend, so I'm just bumping this to the front page to remind me tomorrow.
