Wow. Each of those 3 names would almost guarantee your own page in the racing forum. Not to mention the poor track announcer having to call those names each time the horse gained or lost some ground during the race.

It'd be great if for one race, all of the horses names were numbers. The announcer would have a hell of a time letting people know what place each of them were in.

In first is eighth and moving up to third is first.

And all of their numbers have to differ from their race #'s. So my horse name is "Number 18" but I'm #7 on the ticket, catching up on some horse named "fifth" who's #18 on the ticket.

Take THAT, announcers.

"Number 18 charging around the outside bearing down on Fifth, who has fallen from first to third."
