Wednesday MLB
Been at the beach for Memorial Day Weekend and just getting back into the swing of things.

Who's got what for Wednesday?

RE: Wednesday MLB
I know a bunch of people are fading the Cubs at Wrigley, but I like Dempster a lot and he's facing a struggling San Diego team. Bass is pretty good, but the Cubs should finish them off today with a sweep.

My other pick is the Dodgers. I know the odds are high at nearly -160, but Kershaw is absolutely amazing at home. Kemp is back and this team is solid as hell right now. Gallardo is a very good pitcher, but worse on the road. Brewers just lost Lucroy, who was carrying their offense. Might go RL with them too.

RE: Wednesday MLB
Isn't there research about how often a team completes the sweep in the regular season? I can't remember where I saw it, but I'm pretty sure it was in this forum. [Also like the Cubs to finish the Padres off]

I'm pretty sure I saw it in this forum too SB.

I like the Cards as small underdogs (+107) at ATL today. (sorry, BetATL) Lohse has solid numbers against ATL, while Hudson has struggled against the Cards that he's faced. Particularly Beltran, who has a .351/.422/.595 line in 84 career PAs against Hudson.

Braves bats have been pretty cold over the past 10 games, too. Might look at a first five innings play.

I'm also on the Cubs today. The Cubs haven't had the "winning" momentum much this season but I think they'll have it here today behind Dempster. I think this line should be more around -150 then -130 with the way San Diego has played on the road this season and in this series.

Chief, no apologies on playing against the Braves right now. Hudson has struggled against the Cards and this is probably a good spot to go against him. The Braves offense just isn't clicking right due to the injuries that have caused a different look lineup, especially on the back end.

RE: Wednesday MLB
yeah once you get through 1-6 the 7-8-9 hitters are easy outs.

Blah, not much jumping out at me. Somedays I feel like I see a game and immediately know I like it, others I just look at the board and feel like throwing darts. Think I need some new places to do my research, I feel like what I've been using hasn't produced much edge.

RE: Wednesday MLB
Do you just use sites to research? Or have a list of people to follow on twitter, etc?

Little bit of both. For football, basketball, and hockey I have my own numbers set up, the sites I want, and the people (mainly the forum folks) that I follow. For baseball, I feel like I'm wandering through a deserted desert. Use mostly starting pitching match-ups and recent line-up trends, but not sure if that's enough.
