We've got two people with streaks at 4, so it's worth reiterating a key rule:

The first person to pick five in a row will win a free $50, three-team parlay. If you miss a game, you go back to zero.

In other words, game time is suddenly important. Hope you get an early one that doesn't go to overtime.

You know, I'm going to pull a Roger Goodell and make up rules as I go along. And actually, this is a fair rule so I hope this won't be a problem. You are free to protest if you choose.

Rather than going by the "first game to finish," which is profoundly stupid, we should break ties by your combined money lines. Otherwise, what else is the point of posting them?

Another fun thing to point out: If Detlef had placed a $100 bet on his first wager, then rolled the winnings on each of his next three bets, he would have profited $4,139 by now.

That's slightly better than a potential $50 three-team parlay, no?

If we do this, how long is the time period for a tie? Couldn't this potentially lead to lots of ties? I think this tiebreaker of money lines is only feasible if the 5th game of the streak was on the same game (ex. Indiana over Kentucky). While I think the money line idea is smart and more relevant, what would then be the time frame to match?

Hrm. Good point. You know, I guess I hadn't foreseen such a situation.

If two players enter a particular day tied, with the streak on the line, then each player only gets ONE pick on the fifth day. Does that work?

Highest combined money line breaks the tie if both correctly pick their fifth winner.

Jesus, I don't know. Somebody smarter than me figure this out.

Thanks for being that guy I kinda thought there was something I was overlooking and wasn't sure about the lines having to be +120. Which in a way I'm glad Cincy lost I would've got excited for nothing. Lol :blush: I'm a little slow but I got it

Not to pick on you, but Indiana is +400 at most books...so you might want to change that value to make sure nobody thinks you're on the Indiana Pacers (who are -3, but still...closer to +145 than +400 team is). :-)
