Anyone betting these? Let's get some quick discussion going if so.

RE: U.S. Open Head-to-Head Matchups
I like most matchups that go against Phil. In his group, believe Tiger is (-140) and Bubba is (+100). He just hasn't been playing good golf and I'm not sure the short hiatus will help.

We shall see but I think he'll shoot the highest in the featured group today.

RE: U.S. Open Head-to-Head Matchups
I went with
Bradley (-120) over Simpson
Byrd (-125) over Molinari
Van Pelt (-110) over P.Hanson
Immelman (-125) over Cink

Kinda juiced, but those were the best of the options I had.

I kind of think Bubba will have a tough time today.
He can't bomb a driver on many holes.

It sounds like Phil may have lost a ball on the first hole of play!

Yep, he did.
They're showing him on the long walk back to the tee.

Wow, Phil managed to escape with JUST a bogey after going OB on the first shot. Good call guys.

Seems like when I post plays, I have 0-2-2 type results. When I keep things to myself, Im lights out. Still have a couple people in contention though.

ALso, if you actually enjoy the game of golf, besides betting on it, you might enjoy this as much as I do.

Olympic club yardage books.

RE: U.S. Open Head-to-Head Matchups
I ended up playing Kuchar and Mahan both under 72.5. Easy for me to say after-the-fact now, but luckily Kuchar was easy $$$ and Mahan birdied his 17th hole to shoot 72.

Thinking about backing Kuchar under 72 again tomorrow. He's so solid.

RE: U.S. Open Head-to-Head Matchups
I have a futures ticket on Kuchar so I'm probably biased, but I ended up playing him under 72 again.

Any others out of these jump out to you for the second round? Tiger under 71.5?

Steve Stricker 73.5
Matt Kuchar 72
Ian Poulter 72.5
Jason Dufner 72.5
Rickie Fowler 72.5
Dustin Johnson 73.5
Tiger Woods 71.5
Phil Mickelson 73
Bubba Watson 74.5
Zach Johnson 73.5
Adam Scott 73.5
Keegan Bradley 73.5

RE: U.S. Open Head-to-Head Matchups
Picked up Fowler (+3600), Kuchar (+1350), and Woods (+290) futures today. I really like Kuchar's game and he's a consistent player. His win at TPC made me think he's ready for the next step. Fowler is one of those guys who can have a big round and put himself in the mix come Sunday.

2nd Round props played Fowler over Johnson and Mickelson over Watson. Watson said earlier this week he felt defeated on this course... that he had no idea what shots to play on some holes. That's a tall tale sign that he will plunge... Mickelson should make some adjustments and find a way to make the weekend. D. Johnson is a long hitter and I'm not sure that skill set really helps on this course. Fowler playing with confidence in recent months and should make a move today to put himself in true contention on the weekend.

RE: U.S. Open Head-to-Head Matchups
What prices did you get those matchups at, Jay? I'm seeing Fowler -130 over DJ and Phil -160 over Bubba, so I'm trying to see if there's been a huge line movement.

I played them at those odds. I'd have Mickey at -200 over Bubba. And Fowler at -150 over D. Johnson.

Hmm, I think I would go with:
Kuchar Under
Poulter Under
Watson Over
Stricker Over

If I was going to make a play on totals.

Thanks, Jay. Made a small play on Phil over Bubba but didn't get in in time for Fowler. Good info on the Watson quotes, too. Big Thumb

RE: U.S. Open Head-to-Head Matchups
Couldn't have been a worse start for Fowler as he triple bogeys the first... Kuchar doubled the first as well. Ugh... lot of golf left to be played.

So far, every golfer who was under par yesterday is over par today. Could be a rough day. I need Kuchar to steady the ship.

Is there any chance in hell Bubba can beat Tiger today. I have a small bet at +215 on it. Probably would have been better off lighting my $$ on fire, but oh well. DunnoLOL
