RE: TV Fall 2012
I like Falling Skies a lot. It has some "Lost" moments which was one of my favorites when it was running.

The only knock on Falling Skies I have is forced plot. I hate it when characters are thrown into non dynamic situations just to move the story. Falling Skies doesn't do it every episode, but there are times where they blatantly do it.

However, the acting and overall story are pretty solid. Noah Wyle is way better than i thought he'd be. And pope plays the "Sawyer" character pretty well even though its almost a blatant ripoff of Sawyer

Yea... I'm a big fan of Pope. I like the dynamic of the 3 kids... each has their own issues. I'm on Episode 4 of Season 2... can't wait to see how the season plays out.

Season 2 was better than the first imo. I think youre pretty close to a good run of episodes. Season ends pretty awesomely too. Theyve delivered 2 solid cliffhangers to end each season.

I'm up to where they capture one of aliens... who wants to work with the humans. I don't buy it at all, but I'm curious.

PS - I've been hearing good things about the show "Last Resort" that will debut shortly on ABC.

I'm a sucker, but I'll probably get sucked into this new J.J. Abrams series for at least an episode or two...

Definitely looking forward to seeing Revolution. Hopefully, it's decent.

There's a new show on ABC I want to see where a renegade group breaks away from country / military and settles on an island.

RE: TV Fall 2012
Even though Boardwalk Empire finale was last week, I thought it was one of the better seasons so far. I have a few friends who love this show. I'm still a little underwhelmed personally. It still has some work to do to live up to all the hype it got imo.

Homeland and Dexter on the other hand have been my favorite two shows this fall. Can't wait for the season finale's next week.

Homeland has been great for the first 2 seasons, and I know they have teh 3rd set up pretty good. I'm not really sure how much longer they can make the show, but I guess we will see. I would be happy if they ended it after season 3, don't want them to drag things out and ruin what has been one of the better shows in recent memory.

For some reason, I have been very impressed with this season of Dexter too. Last couple seasons have been a little lacking, but the writers really did a great job of adding some new twists to this season with Deb and especially Hannah Mckay. I won't really give any spoilers for those who haven't seen it, but I suggest you get caught up if you aren't already.

I have to decide if I'm really going to give Homeland a shot.

I've really enjoyed Dexter this season. When the series started he was a flawless killer, now they've shown more of his character, and mistakes.

Anything in the spring worth looking forward too?

RE: TV Fall 2012
This was the best season of Boardwalk by far. There were times I wanted to give up on the show, but I'm so glad I didn't. This season was great. Gyp Rosetti might be one of my favorite tv villians ever too. Excellent acting by Cannavale (or however you spell it).

Homelands first season got me into "oh shit am I watching a top 5 show ever" kind of mode. But season 2 has disappointed me a little. First 7ish episodes were great. Then crazy shit started happening as the writers pushed how far on the plank they were walking. I'm afraid they've gone off the rails almost a little too much. Season needs to wrap up strong.

Dexters been great too. Best season since season 4 for me. Glad I stuck this out and actually excited to see how it ends.

For the spring, Game of Thrones. I haven't looked at the schedule and that's the only one I can think off the top of my head.

RE: TV Fall 2012
I haven't liked the direction of Homeland over the last couple of episodes, but they've obviously set up Season 3 with what's going on (won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen Sunday's ep). I'm finding Carrie extremely unlikable this season, and that's making it difficult. Saul (Mandy Patinkin) is the best actor on the show and it's not even close. He's phenomenal.

Regarding Dexter, this has been the best season in a while, for sure. It pisses me off that he can never have somebody close to him other than his sister, but, it's not a big surprise. Hoping nothing happens to Angel before he can retire. I know it's a boring storyline to have Dexter spend more time with Harrison, but he's the world's worst father. We know nothing about the kid. Waiting for the babysitter to spill something about Harrison stabbing his stuffed animals.

Ready for Shameless now. Ready to laugh after so many serious moments in these two shows.

Shameless and House Lies were my favorite 1/2 punch of tv last season. Just a straight 1:30 of adult comedy.

I don't get how more people don't like Shameless. The acting might not be the greatest, but the show always delivers on comedy and adds enough drama to keep you interested.
