Thursday MLB
It's days like today that I'm glad I'm lucky enough to have a TV in the office; U.S. Open, EURO Cup and day baseball.
![]() Let's get some discussion going on the baseball slate. On the fence about playing the Rays. I like them in the home team avoiding the sweep angle and also think Santana will continue to struggle a bit after his schedule was thrown off by the extra rest after no-hitter. However, I don't like the fact Hellickson walked 7 last time out and don't want to mess with backing him if he doesn't have good control. Also, the Rays hit just .222 against left handed pitching. Not going to play that as of now but will keep it in mind. UPDATE: Pulled the trigger on the Rays after looking at some splits. Mets have 6 lefties in the lineup today but Hellickson is actually tougher on lefties than he is on righties. |

RE: Thursday MLB
2-1 last night, stupid White Sox couldn't get any runners home. 6-1 on week.
Plays today: MIL -114: Marcum has been quite good this year and he sports a 2.84 era on the road with a 35/11 k/bb ratio. Hochevar has a stellar 10.17 era at home. -114 is fair odds. MIN RL +145: I'm going to take a chance here and pray the Twins win by two runs. I love Diamond. His control is incredible, especially at home. Blanton sucks. That's all for me today. |

RE: Thursday MLB
Man, tailed on Tampa, but Hellickson just imploded. Good grief.
