Thursday College Hoops
actually liking some plays here.

Arkansas -1. This could be a big big play. Arkansas is coming off a shitkicking by Florida where Florida couldnt miss from the the 3 point arc. I watched the first half and it was ridiculous and the game was over after that.

I know that Mitchell is done for the year and I read a couple days ago that Green is back to practice but he wasn't supposed to play in this game and be available for the weekend.

UPDATE: Grant said the Green will not play Thursday.

Arkansas is 17-2 at home with the losses coming to Vandy and Florida. They are 6-4-1 ATS but the spread is -1, so take whatever stat suits you better.

Ark is also 4-1 in the their last 5 games vs Alabama at Ark.

I also like Arkansas to bounce back. The shooting of Florida was a somewhat freak thing as they were hitting hard shots and there isnt much to be done about that.

I am also really liking Colorado -4.5 here. I already stated about Pac 12 teams coming up to Boulder and playing in altitude as well as Colorado's good home record.

and looking at Iowa +4.5 vs Wisconsin. This is a feel type play like Iowa and Indiana. I like Iowa getting points at home. They shoot alot better at home and have a hop in their step from the crowd

RE: Thursday College Hoops
I went through a couple matchups and I didn't like anything. Only one I played early was Duke -1. I think they're coming out mad about losing and I think they win here. I'll probably look to bet the half and then bet accordingly.

I'll probably throw down some money on Arizona -14 just because I hate USC this year but Arizona hasn't really been blowing out anybody. I usually bet pretty hard on the Pac 12 but I don't like any of these lines.

Don't like the Colorado pick because they got throttled at Stanford. Stanford was up 27 towards the end of the game before they let off the throttle while their main offensive weapon only had 10 points. Anytime a team gets dismantled, there has to be some sort of mismatch or something the team likes. On the flip side, Stanford has won 2 conference road games (a 4 OT win and against USC which doesn't count). This is a stay away for me. I could see it going either way but I'm not having my money on it.

But then again....I know nothing.

RE: Thursday College Hoops
I think I feel better about betting Colorado then. If Stanford dismantled them at home and now Colorado is a 5.5 point fav, it means bookmaker is a little bit on my side. Alot of people will look at the previous matchup and say HEY! Stanford killed these guys and now I am getting 5.5 points, this is too easy.

If D'Aundray Brown isn't playing, I love Detroit+3.5. But I've been looking for a while and I can't seem to find an injury update. Does anybody have any insight to his status or know where I might find it?

RE: Thursday College Hoops
Duke (-2). I know FSU beat them in Cameron. Duke will be seeking a little revenge, and quite frankly, FSU is not playing their best basketball right now. If you look at their last 2 home games, they escaped with a win against VT. And the game before that was too close against Miami. FSU beat a disheartened NC State team in their last game.

Coach K will have his boys fired up for this trip into Tallahassee.

RE: Thursday College Hoops
Florida State is a team I do not want to bet against at home. This is a good squad guys. Yes they put up a stinker or two but they handled NC State recently and this team can play with alot of teams. They play Defense, have size, can hit the 3 ball. Just a Dangerous team at home.

I write for a Cleveland sports website. We cover some Vikings. I should be able to find out for you.

ST,

dont hold out on this stuff! lol

if you hear it first, get to us before the bookmakers :)
some additions.

does anyone think that is too many points for Gonzaga to covers vs BYU?

I know people will look at Tenn St beating Murray St on the road but it wasnt a fluke and Tenn St is just as hot as Murray St right now.

RE: Thursday College Hoops
Leaning Murray St as small road faves revenging only loss of year. I think they're back to decent value and after the throttling of St Mary's I think that through the rest of conference and conf tourney 8-15 pt wins will be the norm.
Also small lean to Loyola Marymount -10.5. San Diego is awful in general and even worse on the road. I've made money on Loyola all conf season and gonna let em ride through the end of the year. Balanced scoring and good defense at home. I'll take it.
Debating Louisville as well.

I was leaning Gonzaga. Playing at home is a whole different Zags team. I was also leaning Tenn St. That first win wasn't so much an upset as people are thinking. I'll take those points

But then again....I know nothing.

RE: Thursday College Hoops
The Duke game (and the Louisville game for that matter) both look like stay aways.

Florida State hasn't lost at home in conference play and they've already beaten Duke, UNC and Virginia.

Could go either way, might as well avoid. I actually thought Arkansas would cover against Florida in their last home game. Was shocked to see the Gators shoot THAT well. Good bounce back spot for them against an Alabama team that's sort of struggling.

RE: Thursday College Hoops
I'm all over Arkansas tonight at home. Arkansas was ahead with 4 minutes to go at Alabama when they had Mitchell and Green and made 3 or 4 boneheaded plays in a row to lose that game. Arkansas' home/road splits are insane outside of the Florida debacle. I think Arkansas still feels they can make the tourney so they'll be ready. Alabama is really small which plays into the hands of Arkansas seeing as Bama can't hit a 3 at all.

I'm also riding the anti-USC train as someone pointed out. Arizona isn't that good, but at home they should roll a pathetic USC team. Banking on Arizona getting to 65 plus tonight because there's no way I see SC getting to 50.

Fade USC in the second half. They've been keeping it close in the first and then fade because they're not good. It's -7 now

But then again....I know nothing.

Was totally off with Arkansas. I didnt like their effort whatsoever. they started showing heart near the end, but they were walking around for about the middle 20 minutes.
