RE: The Sports Broker Free Super Bowl Trial
I can give a little insight to this service that I think will be fair, and maybe beneficial to both sides.

I actually used this service about 1.5 years ago with good results, but for my level of play, the benefit didn't match the cost (even though it's relatively inexpensive). My bankroll was only $100-$200, and I just couldn't make the numbers work.

The service may have changed, but the way it used to work was, Evan would send out an email every day at around 3:30-4:00 EST with the plays for the night (earlier in the day or the night before if there were perceived line changes or earlier starts). The plays weren't "You should put $x / x units / x % on Game #885", it was more like, "I have [some play] as a premium play tonight." At that point, it's up to you how you decide to play it. The email would also come with a series of breakdowns of other games for the night that he called "leans" (which is fairly common). Those were more like, "I really like [team x] tonight, but I'm a little hesitant because [some outside factor]. I'm going to make a small play on it anyways." Again, at that point it's up to you how you play the game. Evan also allowed you to email him if you had questions about the plays he had offered, or if you had questions about other games that you had looked at. I never had an email go unanswered, and always felt like the responses were genuine whether he agreed or disagreed with my thoughts.

So, in the end, you basically get someone to do your research for you if you don't have the time to do it. You get a list of obvious plays (premiums), and a list of games that will probably hit and are worth a bet (leans), and lastly someone to give you advice and help you learn a little about what's going on. In the end though, it's up to you to manage your bankroll, and decide how you want to play the games. If you mismanage the information, then that's on you. It's not a cut and dried, "Here's how you should play your bankroll, and after x plays, you should have made x% like I have."

I tracked Evan's plays when I was with him, and his record keeping was always fair. The thing I struggled with was deciding how much a "premium play" should be worth, and how much a "lean" should be worth. The premiums don't come nearly as often as the leans, and rightfully so, but if you're an action junkie like me, it's hard to be patient with. If you're someone that a) really doesn't know what you're doing or b) really don't want to take any time or put any effort into your plays, and just want to blind follow someone, it's probably worth a look. Just remember, any time you're paying for a service, you're adding overhead to your juice (so a -110 may turn into a -112 for you with the cost of the service).

I hope that was fair; seemed fair to me.
