RE: The Philly Godfather thread
As I get off the plane after a five hour flight you would expect a man in his mid 40's to be exhausted but as I walk down the runway my heart starts beating just a little faster, the adreneline starts to send shockwaves throughout my body and the back of my brain starts to tingle as a euphoric feeling starts to overtake my senses.. Where am I do you ask, I am at the only airport in the world that has slot machines planted in front of every Marble that walks off the plane.. I have been flying out to this desert for 25 years and every time I land my juices start flowing and all the memories good and bad start going through my brain like a Human Gamblers High Light Film.. . I am in Las Vegas.. Before the Corporations took over Sin City my favorite sports book was the Stardust, the Hilton came in a close 2nd.. Most visitors come to Las vegas for the Casino games, the Hookers, the Boozing and Partying but I belong to a select group of gamblers known as The Animals.. Alot of other betting syndicates have called us Pigs, Greedy, One Way, Monsters, and even F##cking Sneaky Sons of Bitches but the one thing they all agreed on was that we are some of the sharpest and well organized gamblers they ever met.. Philly is in the house baby.. As I walk into the Casinos these days in Vegas most of the old familiar faces are gone.. Most of the old timers have been replaced with a new generation of young sharp college educated gamblers that swear on Algorithms , Sabermetrics and everything else that I can't ever spell right.. These new young gamblers have more access to every statistic that ever existed but for some reason they cant beat the Animals when it comes to betting on football or any other sport.. The connections my group has made over the years would make Frank (Lefty) Rosenthal jealous.. After the NBA betting scandal was exposed and the book was written (Gaming the Game) I decided to come out of the shadows as a favor to a child hood friend that used to work for me named Vegas Runner.. I can't lie it still hurts every time I drive by the Stardust and it's gone but thats how life goes... Last year While I was in town my buddy Vegas Runner convinced me to enter the Hilton Super Contest, he said why not it's not like you guys are a great big secret anymore.. He pumped me up by saying I was probably one of the top ten football gamblers he ever met and I should take a shot at the 300,000 dollar grand prize. I started laughing and said why not.. To make a long story short I video taped the whole process of signing up and by the end of Football Season I ended up with the 8th best overall record out of 517 entrees in the Hilton Super Football Contest The entry fee is only $1,500 and I am expecting alot more Marbles this year to be entering so if you feel like you got the BALLS to compete against some of the Sharpest Gamblers in the world, "YOU NEED TO PUT UP OR SHUT UP".. Don't you think $100 bucks a week to brag to your buddy that you are going heads up with the Philly Godfather and 500 other Gamblers sounds like fun. Imagine all the smack you can talk on Twitter during football season.. My only advice to you has always been to bet wise and sharp and if you're none of those things bet against yourself.. Get Money Yo! |

Did you not feel weird when that random guy started video taping you on your way to the window?
Nice of him to post it to Youtube for you, though.

RE: The Philly Godfather thread
Hey PFG, I have a legitimate question for you. If you ran a pick selling service, how would you track your record? I know you hate people using the term "units" as a way to compare apples to apples; that makes me wonder, would you just post tickets of every bet you made so people would have real dollar figure to compare, or would you tell people, "I'm betting $x on this game, judge for yourself what you want to bet"? Hypothetically speaking, how should an "honest" pick selling service track their plays on a daily basis.

I guess you could just tell them what you bet on the game this way the customer purchasing the pick knows exactly how much confidence you have in the bet.. I mean it really makes no sense selling picks for 20 bucks a shot if you only bet 50 bucks on the game.. Just be honest with people and the rest will fall in place.. |

RE: The Philly Godfather thread
Thanks for the response PFG. We report our stats on Twitter as "units", but the site lists the results as "If you were to flat bet $100 / game ..."; we also list the difference in our line vs the book's line in terms of %'s (10, 15, 20, etc), so people can get a gauge of how our numbers correlate. I know you always hammer people on units, so I was just curious how you would handle it. It seems to fit as a quick way to relate performance to people that insist on knowing, but I agree that the "100 unit SUPER BOMB PLAY OF THE MONTH BOOKIE BREAKER!" shenanigans doesn't make any sense if 100 units isn't an easily translatable number. Anyways, thanks for the response; I appreciate you taking the time to pass on some of your opinions after honing your craft all these years.

The same craft he used when he went 0-16 during a stretch a few months back..
Are you speaking about that craft Mr Irrelevant ? PGF doesn't use Units because he was EXPOSED when he did (Hence the Pregame.com Scam Flop) also he uses made up characters to cover his ass when he gets hammered , kinda like his partner in scamming "Vegas Runner" did when he made up a fake capper named "Bookie Bill" LOL remember that Twitter fraud they pulled... PGF knows what i'm talking about, anyway he doesn't use Units because he SUCKS at capping, end of story. You can continue to blow this Philly clown, but i smell it all over him. All talk no substance (Like most Philly wannabe tough guys) http://forum.sbrforum.com/service-plays/...yo-p2.html You want hard hitting pull no punches "All Sports" Tweeting?
