The Official 2H Plays Thread
All plays for "1 unit" unless noted otherwise.

Oakland +2.5 2H

Would have liked the game to be a little "closer" at the half, but I will take my chances here with the home dog. Uphill battle for Tennessee to win this game. And should they get down 4 points, Vols will definitely be fouling. Oakland is a great free throw shooting team that should ice it down the stretch should the situation arise.

Remember the name, Reggie Hamilton. Chicago product finished with 35 pts, 15-for-15 at the stripe.

1-0.

RE: The Official 2H Plays Thread
Really like Syracuse 2H against Eastern Michigan. They started very slow in this game and then picked up steam finishing up 8 at the half. 13 is a lot of points, but the adjusted game line is now 21 as opposed to 28.5. Syracuse starts hot out of the box and doesn't look back.

I like the concept of big favorites starting slow and then having a big second half. Specifically worked with St. Mary's and Cal yesterday.

Don't love the fact the spread puts them at -2 for the game. Foul shots might drive up the score to cover the ML. That might be better value.

Nice call on Syracuse, I like that angle. Will have to pay attention to it more.

Like SE Missouri St -1 for 2H... Arkansas St. shot 58% from the field in the first half including 4 of 4 from 3. Adjusted game line is -14... before the game it was 3.5 / 4. Like SE Missouri St. to do something in the second half... may not challenge too much, but perhaps can get it back to single digits.

RE: The Official 2H Plays Thread
Wasn't able to post Ohio State +.5 / +1 2H as I was in the car. Typical trap by Vegas and it met TWO of my three big parameters:

Quote:(1) If the listed, unpopular favorite is covering a spread at halftime, take only them in the 2H
(2) Always avoid -1/2 and -1

Took Maryland off the chin, 1-1 to start the season.

RE: The Official 2H Plays Thread
Utah St -6 2H... Utah St. is a very, very good home team having already knocked off BYU earlier in the season. Denver jumped up out on them in the first half going up double digits. Utah St got it down to a 5 point margin at the half... -6 2H puts the adjusted line to Utah St -1 compared to -6.5 pretip. I like Utah St to get the result and thus cover.
The way this Wisky - UNC game is going, 70.5 2H seems awfully high.

Utah St. is not fluid on offense and lacks any presence in the post... they are nowhere near the level they have been at in previous years.

Will there be a nice middle for E Washington at the half?

RE: The Official 2H Plays Thread
There sure will be. 14 point lead for 3.5 point dogs, and it could have been more. It was 17 or more a bunch of the half. Middle is.....

Adjusted game line of Eastern Washington -10. Pretty big middle, but I think I'm going to pass too.

RE: The Official 2H Plays Thread
Looking at Oral Roberts at Oklahoma under 74 for 2nd half in CBB. The first half pace I have at about 30 possessions each. They had a combined shooting percentage of 45% not too bad, with Oklahoma leading by 10 the only way I see this game going over 74 is if Oral Roberts comes back on the road and free throws/ overtime pushing it over. Oklahoma really slows the tempo with 5 min left to cruise to a win. I project 57 points.

RE: The Official 2H Plays Thread
A push really? They scored 25 points in the last 3 min ughh. Oral Roberts never gave up still fouling with 30 seconds left down 12 unreal. Also looking at Kansas St. West Va over 72.5. Close medium pace game foul shots should push this over projected score 79.

Looking at Iowa, Iowa st. 2h under 80. The pace is 35 possessions each, with Iowa st. up 19 points look for them to slow the tempo down the last 5 min. The teams average about 50% shooting which is slightly high. The total is also 10 points more than half the expected game total 150.

Iowa St. really picked up the scoring in the last ten minutes as well.
