Who wants to crush Army or Navy by 40 points. Its kind of unamerican, right? I'm both a nerd and I bet on Air Force last weekend so I looked this up. You're on to something here. Not a whole lot of games that are 30+, so I took 27+ for the three service academies. Since 2000, it's a 14-4 ATS record, including Air Force's cover as 30-point underdogs last weekend at Boise State. (It includes six Navy games, 11 Army games, and only the one Air Force game.) I feel like these teams' styles might have something to do with this as well (running the ball a lot and eating up a lot of clock, making it harder for the opponent to put up a ton of points). Full results below... Might be interesting to look even further back or expand it to 21 or more. 2011 Air Force +30 @ Boise St … L 37-26 (W) 2008 Army +27 @ Texas A&M … L 21-17 (W) 2006 Army +29 @ Notre Dame … L 41-9 (L) Army +28 vs. Texas A&M … L 28-24 (W) 2005 Army +27.5 @ B. College … L 44-7 (L) 2003 Army +31 @ TCU … L 27-0 (W) Army +31 @ L’Ville … L 34-10 (W) Army +28 @ Cincy … L 33-29 (W) Army +28.5 @ Air Force … L 31-3 (W) Army +28 @ Hawaii … L 59-28 (L) 2002 Army +28 @ L’Ville … L 45-14 (L) Army +29 vs. S. Miss … L 27-6 (W) Navy +29 @ B. College … L 46-21 (W) Navy +27.5 vs. Notre Dame … L 30-23 (W) Navy +27 @ Wake Forest … L 30-27 (W) 2001 Navy +28.5 @ Toledo … L 21-20 (W) Navy +27 @ Notre Dame … L 34-16 (W) 2000 Navy +27 vs. TCU … L 24-0 (W) Total record: 14-4
