RE: Sarah Phillips of ESPN
Mostly, the same guy "John Harrison" had three or four different aliases. That would get "hired / fired" depending on how far into the red the others were. They finally hired some outside guys, but most of them butted heads and went off on their own again.

Once, Harrison (the main alias for the owner) was so deep in the red that they claimed he committed suicide. Then about three months later he came back saying they had to fake his death, because someone was trying to kill him.

Most recently, Harrison went so far into the red again, that he's claiming he "sold" the company to one of his other aliases in some sort of forced buy-out. Of course, the next day, they removed the story and any traces of the Harrison alias.

Not to promote another site, but @WagerMinds wrote an article on the crew:

http://www.wagerminds.com/blog/touts/joh...-scam-734/

If you scroll down in the comments, you can see where I (mount187) posted another screen cap of them telling me how bad one of their cappers was, then promoting him as great later on.

Wow.

Here's why I find this shocking- she's a (I assume) paid writer for ESPN. This means "she" (?) has been interviewed and perhaps vetted. I realize ESPN has made many mistakes over the years but if she doesn't exist, I'd expect this to become a huge deal. Maybe it's just a matter of time I guess. However, as it's been noted, there are several reasons to question her identity and lack of exposure.

On a separate note- I have to admit that on the occasions she does announce her picks prior to a game, she's been pretty spot on.

I gotta think the guy who is running this whole SJP scam let ESPN know up front - just told them he's got this personality going and "she" has gained quite a following, and they ran with it.

BTW, is there any possible way you could find three hotter friends than in that pic on the bottom left? I mean, holy fuck...

RE: Sarah Phillips of ESPN
I THINK I know the ghost writer, but the ghost writer doesn't know that I know. Horror and Surprise

I've done a little bit of a content analysis, comparing the columns at Covers with those at ESPN. While it's possible, even very possible, that she's heavily edited at ESPN, there's just no comparison between the quality of written material at the two sites. Trust me on that one.

Also, I've looked through the Oregon student directory and was unable to find a Sarah J. Phillips. While it's possible that I missed it — UO is a pretty big school, after all — you'd think I would be able to produce at least something.

Finally, and I think I mentioned this already, but why would Sarah avoid any and all possibilities of going on radio, a podcast or doing a video segment? She hasn't been without offers and it's clear that she's trying to brand herself, and if that's the case, why not use every media avenue possible?

It doesn't add up, and I'd be the first to admit that "I'm wrong" if in fact she is real. But she isn't. And if she is (albeit under a different name that's posing in some of the photos above), that still doesn't mean she's writing the columns.

As a former media member, this little charade interests me from an "ethics" standpoint, and if in fact Sarah (or the ghost writer) is extracting information from credible people in an effort to keep this character alive, I'll be first in line to bury he/she/them in a very public fashion.

This thread fascinates me.. I've been keeping tabs on Miss Sarah as well and have to agree with everything BTB has said, quite amazing.

Blond Sarah is smoking hot and looks nothing like brunette Sarah.. she kept having on her blog site a "video coming soon" message and then had that stupid trailer video when she acted like she didn't know what she was doing.. I can't find the video right now.. it's all very interesting.

What's the word on @VegasSnitch? Seems like one of the better touts if there is such a thing.

Also, @phillygodfather is a great follow if you want to be annoyed. I don't know why I don't drop him, same with @footballjesus.

RE: Sarah Phillips of ESPN
I've followed @VegasSnitch for quite awhile now.. honestly I think he is great fade material. I'm always happy when I see him release a tip and I'm on the other side. He runs these 50x & 100x plays, mixed in with 10x-50x. In reality he should be calling these 1-5, & 10 unit plays, but cuz the bigger numbers look more impressive, he goes with them.

His Units are $10, so when he says a 10x tip, it's for $100, & his monster 100x tips are $1000.

@FootballJesus ALWAYS seems to win.. I've never believed his claims, but he does do a weekly guest spot on a podcast for a show I can't remember right now, and I usually listen to it. His picks on there always match up to his claimed winnings on Twitter, so I really don't know what to think bout him anymore..
I hear a lot about this Randizzle clown on Twitter. His website is a joke and I highly doubt he has many real clients, but he spins a good game. Another fool who uses his Unit sizes of 50 & 100 per play when in reality it's really just 1 or 2 units per play. People are mesmerized by his big numbers and pretty colors I guess..

He has started following me on Twitter numerous occassions and I've exchanged banter with him. Everytime I bring something up which conflicts with what he's posted, I'm immediately blocked.. a couple months go by and then I see him follow me again, and repeat procedure.. this has happened 3 times over the past year. I think he's the biggest joke out there, but I may be wrong.. BS Flag

I bought his picks for one day about 9days ago(guaranteed, so if don't make profit, I'll get next days picks for free). In that 9 days he/we had one profitable day(and it wasn't many units of profit). That day was wednesday/thursday, but he's still sending his picks to me.
He uses 1-5u per game picks(usually all of them are 5u).

Wasn't too long ago that he lost his 50u(or even 100u) pick and after that he kept releasing only 25-100u picks for few days(superüber game-of-the-year picks, pt teasers etc. til he picked up profit). Looks like he is now back to releasing those "normal" 5-25u games.

Well, this has turned out to be one of the more informative threads for everyone, especially some newcomers who are not familiar with BTB but are with these clowns.

Hopefully we can keep this somewhere. Quality contributions from all!

Agree 100%. Even though most of these guys are frauds, it's good to know any additional information.

Wait, you mean he didn't win on ALL 65 of his tickets?

NEXT!

Mount, Just an FYI about those tickets out of Delaware Park. You can only bet minimum 3 team parleys. You can't play straight bets. However by betting three team pars with a key team you can essentially play a straight bet. That might be why he has a handful. it comes out to - 133 on a side if I am not mistaken. You can however capture an extra half points (off of some keys as well)

You guys ever see the @Pregame_Frauds Twitter account? Did you know it was operated by Randizzle14 (or one of his minions?)

Oh, shoot. That reminds me.

Yeah I've seen that one.. Randizzle, as I'm sure you know, has like a hundred alias. Most of the comments he would retweet from people about how great he was were accounts of his he made up for that purpose. I'm sure a lot of the Twitter handicappers do this.. and if you ever question him about anything you're promptly blocked.

Wow, I am a member for about fifteen minutes, read this thread, and am blown away! This is great stuff!

I follow phillygodfather on twitter, and I can never get a read on him.

Two guys that always come to mind are Vincent Rizzo (@ImAWINNER001) and Chris Torrisi (@ChrisTorrisi). The first one seems like a total fraud, second one does pretty informative podcasts IMO and his blog is pretty good though material. Anyone have any experience/thoughts with these guys?

This thread has been incredibly informative, thanks for all who have contributed. That being said, is there anyone legit out there? I really enjoy following @stuckey2 on twitter.

He posts all his picks for free, and is absolutely killing it right now in mid-major basketball. Definitely a must follow.

There's a great back story to Randizzle if anyone has an interest in hearing it. Also, if there are any questions you have about touts, I'm like a goddamn library with this sh*t LOL.

Not here to be malicious, of course. But am glad to provide facts if I have them.

The best tout/service, by the way, is Right Angle Sports. They are legit and credible and transparent and honest. Also, as a general rule, any tout who spends more time promoting than picking probably isn't worth a damn.
