RE: Sarah Phillips of ESPN
Has anyone been getting her emails? I'm assuming she just sends a link to her articles at ESPN, since noone really knows about them.

Makes sense. I bet it won't be long until ESPN runs out of ideas for her to write about.

Post one of the e-mails here if you get a chance. I am not on the mailing list unfortunately. Evil Shake

"Hello (insert name here)! <--- I chose not to do this because I feel like emails which try to personalize the introduction come across as even more impersonal. Right?

I'm going to stop by my column comment board throughout today (Friday, January 13th) if you'd like to discuss this weekend's games. If you've never used the ESPN.com comments section, here are instructions:

1) Go here: http://espn.go.com/espn/page2/story/_/id...rs-bettors
2) In the byline, you'll see Email, Print and Comments.
3) Obviously, you don't click Email or Print, so click Comments.

My weekly Follow Friday (#FF) blog is also up. The pictures are great! Share them with your significant other. Link: http://espn.go.com/espn/page2/index?id=7458378.

Have an awesome Friday the 13th!

Sarah"

I saw someone retweet something Sarah Phillips said the other day, and I went to follow her and she has me blocked, LOL. I've never even followed or tweeted at her or anything. She must read this thread and block people from that even though that seems like a lot of work. Dunno

Maybe she just scrolls through twitter and blocks whoever has the creepiest pictures. That seems like a lot of work too but for some of the people out there it seems like it would be totally worth it.

Just read this thread beginning to end and I just wanted to say that it is tremendous.

Also like Parker, I'm also curious about your (BTB's) view on PayneInsider because the only way I've ever been able to confirm peoples' legitimacy on Twitter has been who vouches for who.

I trusted Todd Fuhrman and BTB from the outset and that led me to So Money, who vouched for Parker as well as Payne Insider, who was also pals with Philly Godfather, who So Money seemed friendly with and who BTB basically vouched for by giving him his own thread and declaring legend status ("Philly is a legend." 12/18), all of which I accept.

Good review, Yossarian being utilitarian.

Anyone who provides honest insight and interacts on Twitter with others in positive discussion is fine in my book. Just don't like people who post "records" or are trying to sell you something.

Nearly everyone who posts regularly on these forums is stand up in my opinion.

I feel the same way.. except records don't both me as much. It's a good way to let ppl know how well you're doing, if the numbers are right. But if someone is flaunting their record in every tweet/discussion, then it becomes a problem.

BTB...is this @kellyinvegas (Kstate fanantic) your "forces of good" counter to Sarah Phillips? Are you the behind the scenes puppeteer for all the gambling banter?

Just wanted to add that by this same logic I would be led to accept Vegas Runner. And I just cannot do that. Let me know if there's some reason that I should...

RE: Sarah Phillips of ESPN
BTB, what do you know of this @thevegasjack guy? Claims to be the "Hitman" of sports betting with his "Best there was, Best there is, Best there ever will be" statements. Think he said he lived in Canada and just moved to a private beach in Punta Cana for the summer. Says on his Twitter bio he's an oddsmaker with CGS and their 12 shops in the Caribbean.

He claims to have high-paying clients and he has these incredible write-ups on NBA games where he always hits the Side or Total right on his prediction. Problem is I've never seen these articles until after the game is over, and they don't appear on his website til after the game is over. His latest website posting has a short video of him on the private beach and he does show his face.

Any news on this fella from your contacts? Legit or Scam?

To be honest, I have no clue. I'll dig around a bit and see if anyone has ever heard of him. I'm sure he's the No. 1 handicapper in the world, nothing big.
