Preparing For NFL and NCAA Season

Have always been a more then recreational bettor, but I want to take the next step this fall.

I was just wondering what you guys do to get ready for NCAA and NFL season. Let me know, thanks.

I'm sure you'll get a bunch of responses. For me... I don't usually approach either until later in the year. I wait until the magazines come out and start to read through those. After that, I just keep up to date on each of the teams, but most of my focus will go toward familiar divisions and conferences. Aside from that, I don't really look too deep into the past.

Some of the stats that people like Lawrence and Steele throw out there (how a team did ATS in 1989) are irrelevant to me. Also like to look at the new coaches and read up on them. Figure out their schemes etc.
