Is it just me or did "Johnny Detroit" just reference Russell Wilson as NC State's new starting QB? Did that just happen? Got this via one of my co-workers. @damonkolt

Slightly more pathetic than "Bearcats RB Isiah Plead". Considering Isaiah Pead is at least still at Cincinnati.

Ah, mistakes happen. Once, I had to cover a high school football game for the newspaper I used to work at, and after the game was over I made my way down to the locker room to interview a few of the players, namely the star running back. I was on a 30-minute deadline and didn't have much time, especially after the head coach talked to his players for about 10 to 15 minutes afterward.

Anyways, once the players left the locker room, I pulled the running back aside and started asking him all sorts of questions. We talked for about five minutes, and after we were done, I thanked him for his time and wished him well.

"Thanks, Cameron," I said.

"I think you mean Jacob," he said. "I'm Jacob."

I would have let you slide assuming that you were not charging $99 for your weekly HS football roundup.

Which leads to a different question.

BTB, did you use your inside info to create spreads and start taking bets on the HSFB games?

I used to set lines for high school sports at our school. We used to do first halves, second halves, totals and over/under on player points. It was great fun, really.
