Pacquiao vs Bradley: The end for Manny?

RE: Pacquiao vs Bradley: The end for Manny?
I watched that fight at a bar till the end of the 12th and didn't realize until this morning that Bradley won. An absolutely ridiculous decision. I'm far from a conspiracy theorist, but this just screams that the fix was in. There's no way you can watch that fight and think Bradley won. No way.

I'm not a Boxing expert, by any means, but doesn't this say a lot?

Absolutely. Plus I think I read that in the round by round breakdown. Pacquaio landed more punches, a higher percentage of punches, and more power punches in every round besides 1 or 2. So I don't see how a judge could possibly have scored 7 rounds let alone even 3 or 4 rounds for Bradley.

I think that says just about everything.

Do judges ever have to explain themselves for their scoring? Do they ever get questioned?

I can't believe this doesn't just totally destroy the sport. I know it has for me. I won't be watching another boxing match in my life until they have cleaned it up somehow. The fact that the media isn't screaming about this obvious scandal also sickens me.

If this happened in baseball for example it would be a national issue and congress would probably get involved. Totally sickening.

So now I read Arum is canceling the rematch and opening an investigation into the decision.

This keeps getting worse and I'm not sure it will ever end well.

I like combat sports, but over the last 18 months I have become a big, big supporter of MMA. I watch boxing from time to time, but the length of fights, the lack of killer instinct, and the judging has really pushed me away from the sport.

The decision in Saturday night's fight was the final nail to the sport of boxing for me. It was nice knowing you.

The way Pacquio was smiling in the ring, patting Bradley on the back, and congratulating him made me sick to my stomach. Anyone with an ounce of competitive spirit would have been enraged with that decision.

The funny thing about this is that 3 months from now nobody will be talking about this and when the next big fight comes along we will all watch. This happens from time to time in boxing and the initial reaction is always the same, "I'm done with boxing", "boxing is a joke" etc. Not that I don't agree especially seeing this whole thing unfold after someone tells you its a rigged fight 5 days before. I just think come 6 months if Pac man fights Floyd all will be forgiven.

I started a thread Tues or Wed saying I was on Bradley. I didnt "know" anything, I was told the fix was in, fwiw his words were Pac is gonna take a fall and that did not happen. After seeing the way it played out it was either a big coincidence or he had good info... I dont believe in coincidences.

If Pacquiao fights Mayweather, sure. All might be forgiven. But I'm doubtful that will happen. If it's just another Pac-Bradley fight in a few months, I don't think all will be forgiven.

My convictions are there... this judging sham killed my interest. I'll stick to MMA.
