Online Sportsbooks
I've been on BETUS.com for the last 5 years, since I was 14ish? Anyways, the site is awful. The try to change their lines based on your betting style (even though it usually screws them in the long run), their half time lines are absolutely awful, and the withdrawal process is long and complicated. After telling myself I was going to switch sites and messing around on other books for about a year, I'm finally making my final withdrawal from BETUS and switching to a new online book.

Any recommendations for online books? I've made a deposit on 5dimes before and that's the book I'm leaning towards. Not sure of many others, would love to hear some opinions!

I'd recommend BetOnline or 5Dimes. I've used both for a few years now and have yet to experience any problems.

Always good to have a couple of books to shop around for the best lines.

RE: Online Sportsbooks
Pinnacle is my favorite book. Reduced juice all the time, no fuss and offer plenty of markets. I don't mind 5dimes either, just prefer pinny.

Bodog is leaving the U.S. market on Dec. 31, 2011, but your funds will transfer automatically to the new "brand." However, I'm always skeptical of the smoothness of transition.

5Dimes has the best variety, the best selection, the best futures odds, the fastest payouts — period. I love it. Seriously.

BetOnline is also great and is a book I recommend, though their customer service REALLY struggled in early September as NFL and college football seasons got underway. The great thing about BetOnline is they take -- and are able to process -- credit card deposits. I know that's a huge deal for many people.

Pinnacle is the king if you're lucky enough to live in Canada.

I've never used Pinnacle because I'm not a Canadian resident. But I swear, I would take a bullet for that book. It sounds that ... freaking ... good.

RE: Online Sportsbooks
Haha trying to register for Pinnacle and finding out they weren't accepting U.S residents was a heart breaker. Glad to see everyone so high on 5dimes.

I already have a 5dimes account so I'm guessing it's too late to use referral codes but anyone is more than welcome to inbox me a code and I'll try my best to find a way to enter it.

FYI, BETUS must be the squarest book in history. If you like having a ton of accounts and don't mind dealing with BETUS's ridiculous withdrawal policy, open an account on BETUS and use it whenever you're betting an underdog. The favorites are always a 1/2-1 point higher than any other book I've seen.

RE: Online Sportsbooks
BetUS isn't credible and has stiffed a long list of customers. I'd be very, very quick to get my money out there if I had some in it, which thankfully, I don't.

RE: Online Sportsbooks
I received an email last week about this same question (maybe it was from you) and I'm just absolutely horrible at responding to emails, so I apologize if it was you. I also apologize to the other dozen or so emails I've received in the past few weeks who I just can't seem to remember to respond to (I rarely open my email when I'm home).

If you are an American, I recommend 5Dimes. I've played at a number of US Books (and still have accounts) and 5Dimes is by far the most consistent best experience.

Yes, obviously if you have a Canadian address (which you can obtain even if you live if USA) Pinnacle is the King. I use Instadebit for deposit and withdraw. However, if you're a new Instadebit user, you will likely have a $500 weekly transfer allowance. It will increase over time, and you can also request to have it increased. If you want to deposit $5K into an account, this isn't the best option.

Thanks! I think it was me asking you about Canadian deposits, I will try InstaDebit. I used to use Netteller but I signed up for it and they my account is suspended, but I havent used Netteller in 10 years so who knows.

I do want to have 2 books and Pinny and 5dimes are the ones I want.

On a side note. Bought a prepaid Visa for moneybookers and they take a small amount from the card and then ask you for the amount and so I input the amount and they say it is wrong and I cannot verify for 24 hours LMAO. and their customer service to me is garbage, But I have used moneybookers as a source of funding and they have deposited to my bank account in about 3-5 business days.

5dimes takes credit cards as well. I used a debit card last month.

I'm with 5dimes. Haven't had an opportunity to withdraw yet, but I hear they are pretty good about it.

RE: Online Sportsbooks
Do ACH bank wire transfer on Mondays. Or, just have a check mailed.

It's extremely quick.
