I just realized that head to head is the first tie breaker over total +/-? that doesnt seem right?

Shouldnt the +/- be first tiebreaker since we are already using the 'record' as seeding within the groups? using head to head next is kind of redundant no?

Especially in groups with dead owners.. the overall points should take precedence IMO.


I know in Soccer Group stages.. points are the first tiebreaker, then point differential, then h2h.

I don't mean to make things difficult and I'm cool either way... but i just wanted to bring it up.

At this point, I think its a bit premature to worry about this. You can't put the cart before the horse and thus far my NBA picks are probably not worthy of a horse or a cart at this point. I still have 8 picks to make and while an 8-0 is my goal, past history indicates 0-8 is more likely to occur.

LOL.. well it is a coincidence that our matchup happens to fall that way but I definitely would feel the same way if I was on the other side of things.

BUT, either way, I'm cool with the ruling. Ill just have to win big in the next round :) haha.

it's a valid point but I wanted there to be some drama in the group stage. if +/- were the 1st tiebreaker, it would greatly diminish the value of H2H match-ups at all. As in, you wouldn't care if illadephia beat you.

The tiebreakers in soccer depends on the tournament but usually its points (wins in our contest), then H2H, then goal differential (units for us).

I'll consider everything for the next nba contest!
