NBA Monday
Was lazy Sunday and didn't get the NBA thread going, really good stuff by Grey matter stats both for NBA and CBB.

couple leans for tomorrow

Lean on Denver 2q vs New Orleans.
This spread will probably be either -3.5, -4 for the 2nd quarter. Denver has only lost one second quarter this entire year. Seems like I yak about it in every NBA thread, but it is truly a cash cow! New Orleans has a few players banged up and isn't deep to begin with, when the benches come to play in the 2nd Denver should cruise. Doesn't help New Orleans that Denver is a great home team and 13 deep. Will probably throw small amount on Denver 1h or the whole game line as well. The mighty Nuggets roll again!

Small lean Toronto -3.5 vs Minnesota

Wolves have been pretty good this year, Rubio is the man. Toronto has also been playing very well, Casey is really bringing defense to that team. Despite playing a Washington team that doesn't care the Twolves racked up some good minutes on their star players, even though they played early, flying from Washington to Toronto isn't fun. Like the Raptors to rebound from that rough loss and bring their A game here at home.

RE: NBA Monday
I might take a look at Denver as well... have to see how NO has done in 2Q of games.

The two I played at the open are Toronto (-3.5) as Minny are in the middle of a 3 games in 3 nights stretch. Teams tend to under perform in that middle game and Toronto appears improved this season. Tough game for Minnesota in this spot.

Indiana (+4.5) at Philadelphia. Both squads are playing well, but I was really impressed with the Pacers win at Boston. Really showed me these guys are ready for the next step. Expect this to be a close game... 4.5 is too many points. Should be +2.

Good tiP on Denver!

I know I'm rolling w Atlanta -5.5 @ NJ tomorrow. Atlanta is a superior team. Their front court of Horford and Smith should be too much for jersey to stop. Especially with no brook and humphries hurting. I can see Joe Johnson having a huge game as well.

Wanted to get involved with the Indy Philly game, but both are play on teams for me. Excited to watch this one. Hibbert should control the paint, but I think Philly is a little deeper and is a really good home team. If anything my play would be a tease on Indiana but will probably stay off.

Agree with all the points on Minny.
Staying away from Atl way too fishy for my taste. Can't get down with NJ either staying a far away from this game as possible.

RE: NBA Monday
VV, at my book the Nuggs are -3.5 1st quarter and -7 1st half. You seem to have a pretty decent handle on them, so in your mind is either one of those worth a play?

Based on the logic, I guess I'd lean towards the 1H play because that allows Denver's depth to really make an impact in the second quarter.

Im taking a chance and rolling with Denver -3 2Q... only a small coin, but I'm curious as to how this plays out.

RE: NBA Monday
bummer on the Nuggets tonight, it sucks you guys got on board and they played awful. Denver is still 8-2 in the 2nd quarter this year, will look for them to bounce back next game.

RE: NBA Monday
No worries, VV. I did get on and try to bet the 2Q after the end of the first, but my book never put up a line. Haha
