Lucky -

Check the # of total picks you made this round. these above 4 for today will be 16 total picks. Anyone you care to eliminate??

I gotta make 8 picks from today's games, so I need all my options!!

Here they are:
8. Bulls/Sixers Over
9. Lakers ML
10. Knicks ML
11. Kings/Suns Over
12. Warriors ML **
13. Warriors/Raptors Over

** least favorite pick...hope to switch this out if Lucky responds and eliminates an extra pick before tip

Hey, yeah when I posted those picks last night I thought that only gave me 14 & I would need to make 1 more tonight, but I went back & see I added up my picks wrong & skipped over 2 I made the other night.

Hasn't been a Standings update in days & I haven't had a chance to go through & add things up to see what the actual numbers are. I'll go over the games and eliminate one in just a bit. Sorry bout that.

RE: NBA CONTEST QUARTERFINALS
Long weeknd, I've been out for the past couple of days. I don't know where my play count's at, or if I'm ahead or down, but I'm going with what I have left. So, Denver ATS I guess.

What are the rules surrounding the break?

I'm just going through and updating the final scores & was perplexed by your results, Mount.. especially since I found this comment.

I've triple-checked the thread and only found 10 picks you made in total? What happened to the other 5? Am I missing something?? Unfortunately, if the rules state you take a loss for each pick not made, it will unfortunately affect the final score and Louie will advance.

TheHandicaper also only made 14 picks, and depending on Denver's result could also make the difference between winning and losing.

I'll post results in one moment.

#13 louiemdj [15, -1.63] DEFEATS #5 Mount187 [15, -1.94]

#10 TheHandicaper [15, +2.05] DEFEATS #2 Kballa41 [15, +1.88]
#14 Mr. Lucky [15, -0.88] DEFEATS #6 illadelphia [15, -2.88]

I'm pretty particular with my record keeping so I'm fairly certain the above numbers are correct, but things are really tight in a couple of the matches so if the parties involved want to double check it's probably not a bad idea.

Final numbers include 5 picks not made by Mount which resulted in a -5, and 1 pick by TheHandicaper not made, resulting in a -1.

Congrats to the winners & especially TheHandicaper who was the only winner to actually finish on the positive side. Big upset over Kballa who would have advanced if he was playing anyone else in the field.

We start the Semi's tomorrow night, I guess?

I had no idea what you were doing. I never really added it up, but I just assumed you had it locked up so you didn't bother making your last few picks. Especially since you are the one that gave the reminder saying not to forget your picks after the all star break.

Hmm

Hmm

My wife's grandpa died Monday*, so we scrambled all week getting to-and-from his funeral. Then I had to get her and my daughter packed up and on a plane to Arizona Saturday morning. Needless to say, my mind was in other places.

*He was 83 years old, and a stroke caused him not to be able to use his right side. Then he fell and broke his left hip, leaving him bound to a wheel chair. He only lasted about 6 months after his last grand-daughter had her first baby, so I think he held out as long as he could to see that and then decided it was time to go. He went peacefully, so everyone was pretty OK with his last few days. No need for condolences.

Sorry for your loss. Now I feel like an asshole.

It's quite possible I would have forgotten anyways (or missed fives straight picks); just win the title, and I'll celebrate vicariously through you.
