My fun Bovada weekend
So last Friday Bovada sent out a tweet giving away a free $10 casino chip. I was bored at work at the time, so I entered it in and pulled up blackjack. I hadn't used bovada in several months and my account had been at zero there for a while. I put the entire $10 on a blackjack hand and got dealt 16. Figuring this was going to be quickly over I stayed and the dealer busted. I then played another hand for $20, and got dealt 17. The dealer busted again though and my account was now to $40. I figured this would provide me a little entertainment and I then played $5 hands until the rollover was through and ended with exactly $40. Since I was still playing with house money I put all $40 on the Braves -1.5 friday night. A 0-0 game got broken up by a mccann grand slam and my account was at $90. Mow during the game I thought " if this hits I'm going to put it all on serena to win in two sets. My problem was I went out friday night, forgot all about it and didn't wake up til after Wimbledon had started Saturday morning.

Saturday I woke up kicking myself for not betting serena in two sets, since shed just cruised in the first set 6-1. Instead though I put all $90 on the giants / pirates under. Winner. I then doubled up again on the red six in the afternoon. Winner. I then put it all on Silva in UFC. Winner. I then put it all on Federer
Winner. I then put a $100 more on the Braves on Sunday. Winner. My $10 free casino had turned into $570 in one weekend. I decided to quit while I was ahead and cashed out $500, which I will hopefully receive in 25 business days.

WTF? Panic

[Edit] I just realized you didn't say what the dealer had. My assumption was the dealer had a 10 showing, since that's how 90% of my online blackjack hands go.

RE: My fun Bovada weekend
not sure what casino software they have but they used to have RTG which is very streaky
if you get lucky and got on a run and could stop when ahead you could do ok

@BTB I realize Bovada's notoriously slow payout, I'm just hoping to receive it eventually.

@mount I think the dealer had 8. I don't even remember, I just remember thinking it doesn't matter the computer software will screw me over

Funny story thanks for sharing. I'm willing to bet you're the only person who won money playing blackjack with their free $10. online blackjack is hilarious.

If Bovada's twitter account is going to tweet about this story, it should be noted that they have already started giving me the run around on my payment. I sent in verification forms (which i already did beforeI a payment last year) and they disabled my account for "24-48" hours. I'm not expecting this check in a real quick fashion.

Took me 7 weeks to get a mere $75 payout. You might be able to use your money on Christmas presents.

There was some issue with verifying my account details. Bovada did contact me today so I probably should just be grateful they are looking at it.

To be fair and give due credit bovada quickly contacted me and got my account verified and back enabled within an hour of making the above post.

That's because they want you to think they're processing your withdrawal. At least you got a decent amount of dopamine released in your brain over the weekend, so even if you don't receive the payout at least you got something out of it.

Good story, Chad Millman did a podcast awhile back about Archie the Greek's amazing run. As much betting +EV is the way to go, these straight up gambling stories are great.

No update to speak of.. They have processed the payment but I haven't received any tracking number or any other type of communication from them.

RE: My fun Bovada weekend
That's unfortunate. Judging from the other thread, you should still get the money. Might just take a few months.
