RE: Monday Night Football
2 years ago, Giants played the Saints in the SuperDome. Final Score was Saints 48-27 Giants. Giants went into this game with the #1 overall defense and best pass defense in the league. Brees threw for 370 and 4 Td's and he wasnt sacked at all. Saints O-Line did a good job with the Giants Pass rush.

Saints picked apart the Giants on underneath recievers and it should be the same 2 years later. Giants only has 2 TO's in this game, so that wasnt a huge factor in the difference of the score.

Interesting Stat for me. No False Start penalties for the Giants. Good Job done by them in the Superdome.

Bradshaw and Jacobs both had trouble running the ball. Under 100 yards total for both of them.

at -6.5, I doubt he'd take it now at -7.5 though.

I dont think the Saints defense produce enough turnovers to turn this game into a blowout. To me, a line at 6.5 would lean me to NO, a line at 7.5 would lean me to NYG.
I am on the Jints myself. My reason for quoting Behind the bets was another post RE: vegas Runne

RE: Monday Night Football
Something I'd like some one else to look up:

What is Eli's rating against the blitz? Saints defenses are great at blitz packages, but if memory serves me correct, Eli has done well against the blitz, able to pick up where its coming from and finding the hot receiver. The trouble has come when he isn't on the same page as his receivers. Such as, Steve Smiths' injury last year, Manningham and Nicks injuries this year. (fill ins like Barden and Mark Clayton just don't cut it)

With Cruz becoming a reliable slot guy and Ballard replacing the departed Boss, Manning has adjusted well to the blitz. Philly last week was able to get most of its pressure from the front 4, allowing coverage on the back end.

Deihl moves back to Tackle to replace Beatty, I think this is actually an upgrade. The o-line can't play much worse then last week, and if they have any Giants pride, they will be much improved this week.

Depending on how you feel, this is either a Saints blow out, going under the total. Or a close game that goes over. IMO, its the latter

I didn't like the way Philly manhandled the Giants last week.....I mean they beat the crap out of them...the Giants have to put to much effort into the running game w/out Bradshaw....this has worn them down late in games since he''s been out and TE Ballard has been less effective....NO red zone D much better at home....Who Dat Nation will be pumped up....@ -7.5 make sure you buy the hook....that half point beat is a killer......

Just curious, if you're already separating your sentences with all these ellipsis, why not just use normal punctuation? You probably have some really good points, but the choppy sentences and lack of punctuation just make me go: Hmm.

27 catches and 16.4 ypr isnt terrible especially for a TE. Ballard has come on as some one who can find the soft spots in zone coverage. I wouldn't underestimate Ballards importance to Eli.

I'd be more worried about the Giants ability to man up Graham and cover Sproles out of the backfield. Boley being out puts the Giants in a tough spot

RE: Monday Night Football
I reall think if u look at the mtachup from 2 years ago. It will tell u a lot. The coaching staffs have pretty much stayed the same for these teams. The personnel is mostly the same. With that I do believe the giants will change their gameplan but for the most part it should be quite the same. I don't believe after playing a big sunday nighter that they will have a better gameplan than the saints who are coming off a bye. So its comes down to players and I still give the edge to the saints.

RE: Monday Night Football
This year, teams are 14-16-1 ATS coming off a bye. I'm speculating that the bye week is not the advantage it used to be since the new CBA.

I need to look at some numbers from previous years, but teams have less time to prepare this year and have looked more sluggish out of the gate than in past years.

I think you are dead on with this. The bye used to be a huge advantage, it isn't so much anymore. There are less days of practice, and a lot less full contact than they're used to be. Some teams have come off their byes on fire, but many more seem to be struggling to get back into the swing of the game, despite the fact that they should have a solid game-plan with the coaches having the extra week of prep time.

How about home favorites ATS off a bye this year?

That's a good question? What about teams that are favored by 7 or more at home after a bye? Don't you have access to the internet? Frustrated
