Monday MLB
What ya see?

I like the Braves as a dog in Miami. Minor has been throwing well his last few starts and is in a ballpark that suits him well. Josh Johnson hasn't been throwing that well lately.

Braves with the better bullpen shall it come down to the later innings.

Marlins first game home after a 6 game road trip, which they lost 5 of. Not sure how focused they'll be.

RE: Monday MLB
Cubs 14 road wins all season! Pirates only 14 loses at home all season!

Cubs can't hit lefties... Bedard much better at home than on the road.

I like the Pirates

RE: Monday MLB
On the opposite side of both of you tonight. I like the Marlins, well, at least I did until the Sanchez deal today effectively says "Hey, we're conceding! Come shop here!" Johnson's dynamite against the Braves and the Marlins' OPS is 40 points higher against LHP than RHP.

Also love the Cubs tonight. Pirates struggle with hard-throwing RHP, hitting just .220 against what B-Ref describes as "power" pitchers. Samardzija's had good success in relief work against the Bucs and his FIP is nearly a full run lower than his ERA. He's been much better than basic stats indicate. As far as Bedard goes, he's very hittable and has been all season. Samardzija's 6-3 when the Cubs score at least 3 runs. No reason they can't get there against Bedard today. Plus, pretty big sweep for the Pirates over the weekend. I'm anticipating a letdown.
