Kobe + Howard better than Kobe + Shaq?
I read a rumor that LA is going to try hard to acquire Dwight Howard in the offseason... Kobe and Howard would be an awesome one-two punch...

Do you guys think Kobe/Howard would be better than Kobe/Shaq?

How about Kobe/Howard vs. Lebron/Wade?

RE: Kobe + Howard better than Kobe + Shaq?
I would rather take Kobe/Shaq over Kobe/Howard. I think Dwight Howard is overrated personally. Shaq was much more dominant offensively and a more consistent all around player.

Dwight Howard can obviously be pretty dominant, but I think his offense is lacking. He is also a bitch, and doesn't play very hard. There are games where he is non-existent and games where he is great. Just don't like the inconsistency, which is one of the things that haunted the Lakers the last few years with head case Bynum and dirty euro Pau.

As far as Kobe/Howard vs Lebron/Wade, it's an apples to oranges comparison. If I had to choose one combo, it would be the latter just because Kobe is getting older. He did have a pretty remarkable season, but how much gas can he have left in the tank?

Given the state of their careers, you'd have to take Kobe-Shaq over Kobe-Dwight. Hands down. Kobe will be how old next season? 34?? He's on the downslope for sure.

Plus, Shaq in his prime was one of the top 10 dominant players in history, easy. Dwight's not there.

Go back and look at Shaq's numbers in the playoffs during their dynasty. It was ridiculous.

2000: 30.7 points, 15.4 rebounds
2001: 30.4 points, 15.4 rebounds
2002: 28.5 points, 12.6 rebounds
2003: 27.0 points, 14.8 rebounds

Dwight's best numbers during an extended playoff run was 20.3 points, 15.3 rebounds when they went to the Finals in 2009.
