Well according to my records (yes I am logging ever MLB game this year *smh*) here is what I got.

Home teams @ -175 or higher are 9-5 (64%)

Home teams @ -140 to -174 are 3-13 (19%)

Home teams @ -101 to -139 are 37 - 12 (76%)

So if you like playing short road dogs you are just getting absolutely killed right now.

Overall the road dogs are 30-49. If you are smart enough to dip into that -140 to -174 pool exclusively you should start selling your picks.

I picked out 9 home faves (from -107 to -136) and 1 road dog (+149) last night based on these results and made very small wagers and went 8-2.

Oh yeah I also went 1-6 on totals. Evil Shake
Can we get an update on these numbers ?

RE: ITG's sports gambling corner
Speaking of the ITG team.

They went 41-20 yesterday (+23.00)

80-43 the last 2 days (+43.00)

152-127 (+30.00) so far this week.

Now do I think this will continue with 40 random guys...of course not. What does seem to be coming into the clear is the team members that really know what they are doing. I am hoping to peg down 5-10 guys that are willing to stick with me on this idea that can pick winners consistently.

If that happens I will invest a little more into my site and try to have a pregame or covers experts type set up except that all of the picks will be free.

However...for now...a lot of these guys are picking winners and gaining followers and that is great.

How much can you really tell from maybe 5 days of data? And what sports are going on currently... mostly baseball and hockey playoffs.

Basketball was in its last week...which was a complete crapshoot.

I can't tell anything from 5 days except for what the numbers tell me which is exactly what I will be able to tell from 100 days. I am working with a sample size of 41 guys and 279 picks. Everything is tracked and available to all who want it so the great thing is that you can take what you want from that and I can take what I want from it.

Picks have been made on Baseball, Hockey, Basketball, Soccer, Golf, UFC, and Nascar.

The top 25% have gone 63-25 (+43.23)

The remaining 75% have gone 89-102 (-13.10)

My prediction is that 5 guys will stay above the 55% mark, Roughly 25 or so will hover around 50%, and the other 10 will not be able to keep their heads above water.

No matter how it turns out it will all be tracked. So no matter how many guys keep a winning pace it will all be tracked and all be free.

The point of this whole thing is not to look for a winning system but to look for a winning handicapper who is willing to be put himself out there and be tracked by an independent source.

My end of the bargain is that when the guys do well individually I am going to make sure that I get that out to as many people as possible. If they do well as a group I will do the same.

As far as Basketball being a crap shoot 2 of the guys in the top 25% have picked exclusively NBA with a 3 pick max per day. This week they are 18-6 combined with straight bets, halftime bets, teasers and ML parlays.

That is a pretty hot run at the craps table.

187-149 for the week (+43.76)

RE: ITG's sports gambling corner
Yesterday was 30-32 but a small profit was still made based on bet sizes.

The team as a whole (41 guys) is up (+43.00) for the week with Sundays action still pending.

Next week might be rough as the worm has to turn but the whole idea was never to have the team win as a whole as much as some guys to show out and provide a free outlet for sports bettors who want to tail. The fact that their records and bankroll are tracked at ITGlife.com adds the transparency element that is really missing in the sports betting community.

I posted somewhat of a week 1 recap and whats to come write up at ITGlife.com just now. Check it out.

RE: ITG's sports gambling corner
No matter how all this ends up turning out, I want to say Thank You for at least having the determination and follow-through for putting this together so quickly and keeping on top of it.

At the very worst, at least you can look back on it and say you tried, and who knows what someone else following along might think of it and expand on the idea.

And at the very best, well.. sky's the limit! People are talking about there being too many guys involved, but like you said, that number will be trimmed down over time until you get a strong core. Giving people a legit chance at "auditioning" for 100 picks or so is a great starting point.

Thanks.

Week 1 recap. Over 40 guys made over 400 picks and as a group ended the week up over (40.00).

I think that warrants at least giving it another week.

Who's the worst? There should be a demotion system in place.

Damnit BTB. You are the one who inspired me to start all of this and you don't even follow along.

There is a demotion system in place but I want to give a fair sample size. So Money suggested a "100 pick" try out.

Some guys will filter themselves out by lack of activity alone but I have a select few grandfathered in to come back for FB season if they so choose as most of them consider FB their marquee sport.

The end game is to have 10-15 spots with a rolling 5 spot tryout.

So the best case scenario will 20 winning sports bettors all tracked by an independent source all making picks for free.

So the ITG team might have had its first mini scandal. Imagine that. The sports betting community is gangsta.

I'll post more on it later. Still trying to investigate.

Here are the top performers so far.

26-35 Yesterday (-5.80)...1st tough day in a while for the ITG team.

I'll try to expand on my dilemma with the team from earlier later tonight if I have time.

RE: ITG's sports gambling corner
A couple of days ago I was searching through the #ITGteam hashtag making sure I had all of the plays documented and noticed someone that had tweeted to Tony Cap that he could find out who was using his picks as their own by following the #ITGteam's picks.

I thought it was pretty funny, retweeted it, and jokingly asked the guys if they were stealing picks again.

I was surprised to get a DM from one of the team members that he did indeed think that one of the members was taking Tony Cap's picks and posting them as his own. The guys is a client of TC's and apparently one of the other members was posting his exact picks shortly after he released them.

I didn't even know how to react. I really didn't think it was a big deal because if he did pay for them I would suppose he could do whatever he wanted with them. I guess I don't know what the rules are for that sort of thing.

The next day the same guy that I initially retweeted tweeted to Tony Cap something to the affect of..noticed that your pick didn't get tweeted out by the #ITGteam after you sent that email out this morning.

So we have made made fun of ole' Tony here questioning the amount of clients he has but in all actuality it is likely that at least 2 out of the 41 guys on the ITG team are currently TC clients.

Hell, I started this whole thing so that people would have an outlet to go to to find winning handicappers without having to pay people so It all seems ironic to say the least.

I guess the question that I would pose is how big is the business of selling picks? Is it possible that all of these guys are selling way more picks than we could ever imagine?

I know a guy who did 1.5 mil last year (revenue). He is not a famous guy as far as I know. He has a couple different sites. Adam Meyer is a fraud but he makes money for sure.

If you were to guess, what does the average Pregame handicapper make?

I already have my answer on my white board.
