I have no way of knowing you didn't pull that number out of thin air, which is the problem most people have with touts in the first place. I could post my record as 122-55-3, and it would hold the same weight. How can you prove I'm wrong? The old, "I post my plays on Twitter," just doesn't fly these days; too many people delete losing plays for that to be a reliable source. Honestly, those numbers hold no value. Were your plays on big m/l favorites? If so, you could be losing money at that record. Are you tracking numbers against lines that were available at one point, but weren't when you told people what plays you made? Are you pulling numbers from 15 different books that nobody actually uses? Just because you think you're being honest doesn't mean that anyone else is going to believe you. There are way too many thieves and crooks in this industry for people not to have verifiable proof of how you're actually doing. Twitter: @AaronMount |

RE: How to market a cappers service
I agree with you. That is one of the main reasons I started this thread. I want to know the best way to market and be respected. The way you guys talk about RAS is the way we want our service to be spoken about.
I will tell you how I came to be in this position and got started in this business. I was in the financial markets for 10+ years. Hated it after 7. I had an older friend who I have known for a very long time. He was always involved in aspects of sports betting, lets just leave it at that. He had a legit business that he ran in addition to his sports business. He asked me if I would help him run it, in exchange he would give me a very favorable deal to get involved in the sports business. I loved the sports business, I wanted nothing more than to learn his trade. As I learned about some of the names and met some of the guys who would come in, I realized I was in a good place to learn a lot about the business. How that has turned into a website, we had a guy who was in the business and was a client of ours. He was a large player, him and I had mutual friends due to growing up in the same area. I knew what he did and knew he must of been somewhat successful due to the numbers he played. What I did not understand is how he was successful being so bad at picking games for himself. Granted he was far from the worst guy I've seen but nothing like the Wiseguys who I had followed for myself. So after talking it over with my mentor, we thought we would start our own site, hoping that we could get some help from our "friend" who had so much experience and resources. Well the first part went well, the second not so much. He wouldn't tell us a single thing about how he did anything. So I have set out on my own to figure it out for us. Twitter: @Wiseguy_Sports |
