Here Kitty, Kitty
One of my employee's cousins trapped this bad boy here in Missouri. It was tranquilized, then several tickets were issued by the department of conservation, then it was released. Don't want anyone freaking out about the welfare of a poor little mountain lion.

If it were me, I would have shot the mother fucker and found some local taxidermist to do a full body mount on the DL. It would be pretty sweet to have a mountain lion stalking around the fireplace. Would definitely scare the shit out of potential intruders.

RE: Here Kitty, Kitty
Thats awesome.

There have been mountain lion sightings around my place, but they're pretty rare. I've never seen one.
There are more Lynx in the area though. I've seen a few of those sly cats around. Living on the border of a National Park has its advantages.

Louie, you may need your own thread. I find your life to be fascinating. More pictures, more recipes and more wild animals! Rant

I live in southwest corner of the state. This was actually trapped around Smithville, MO which is a little north of KC. So it's a couple hours away.

Don't kid yourself though, there are a lot more of these fuckers around than you think. I've seen one before when I was fishing at Grand Lake in Oklahoma (which is about an hour from where I live) just gallivanting through the woods like he/she owned the place. Glad I was in a boat. It's just very rare to ever see one. They keep a pretty low profile.

That statement combined with an animal that can kill me if it wanted to is bad news.

Everyone cats hate water, so I felt pretty safe. Plus, I had a 250 Merc on the boat so if we couldn't out run it, we deserved what we got.

RE: Here Kitty, Kitty
Some more information whether you want to know or not.

They were trying to trap bobcats with a live trap and they accidentally caught this mountain lion. Then they got multiple tickets for trapping and sedating a mountain lion which is not legal.
