Question Feedback wanted: Team Rankings
I want you guys to check out this site and tell me what you think of it. It's called TeamRankings.com, and I have gotten to know these guys pretty well over the last several weeks.

They have some incredible databases filled with a whole bunch of useful, sortable stats that can be sliced and diced to your choosing.

Spend five minutes poking around the site and then post your feedback here. If you click this thread and open it, I'll be logging your name. If you don't respond, I'll think less of you. LOL

But seriously, I want your feedback. So, if you can spare a minute or two, please provide it. You can even use emoticons instead of words, if you choose.

Thanks.

Cheers

Looks like a lot of helpful information. Seems very organized and I like the explanations of the models they use for the power rankings, predictions, etc... I'll definitely be spending some more time at the site when I research games.

The Situation Toolbar on the right is definitely something I'll be checking out more often. Good stuff. Popcorn

I really like their site. I used it pretty frequently during the football season to check on numbers and such. Love the way they have their picks section set up. They make it very easy to get to the necessary information for games.

RE: Feedback wanted: Team Rankings
Pretty cool. Shades

My first impression is that it is somewhat like greymatterstats but much more readable.

I really like how much info it contains within one site. I will def be spending some time here when looking at games in the future.

Thanks for passing this gem along to us BTB Dancin' BTB

RE: Feedback wanted: Team Rankings
Very useful, ton of information, i like it.

One improvement area: the 'Stats' page is tough to navigate. I think a simple drop down per category would clean it up a bit.

RE: Feedback wanted: Team Rankings
I use it as a resource for all of my capping some great info on that site.

I also check out their ATS predictions. My favorite is which underdog has the best chance of winning SU.

Like it quite a bit.

The fact that they are so transparent about their predictions and how they come about them is great.

Also like their articles about over/underrated NCAAB teams. Definitely will be utilising it as an extra tool to identify plays.

Very useful by the looks of it. Like a few others I've just skimmed through, but I've come away impressed by how much I could check out and sort through despite my short visit. I'll definitely be taking a more in depth look once I have a bit more time on my hands.

RE: Feedback wanted: Team Rankings
I like how quickly I could sort by Conference & the Years I wanted to check. Unlike some sites which only show "Last 3 Yrs" or "Last 10 Yrs", I could quickly check "Since 2003" or "Since 2008" or any other number of years very easily.

The Categories on the right under "More Situations" are easily presented and load quickly. I'm not a big stats guy outside of MLB but there's lots of info there to quickly sort through. I think it would be useful for the guys doing that A-10 thing on here. If I was in that I'd go through every one of those categories and jot down some notes and see if anything stood out. I picked the Atlantic 10 myself and clicked through a few categories and was impressed with a few things.

Love the Margin of Victory & ATS +/- Categories. Very useful. If you click on Stats down the left side, you'll probably be overwhelmed by the number of categories there. However, they are broken down into sub-categories very effectively and if you're looking for something very specific, chances are it's there, and easy to find.

I sifted through the Predictions area but would need more time to go through it and see how good it was. A quick inspection and seemed like the TR Picks were the best, with the Power Ratings model the worst over the years.

I did a quick run through on their MLB stuff and then bookmarked the page. Excellent addition, thanks.

I don't have time to make a huge write-up, but I'll give them my endorsement. When I have time to handicap games, I use them all the time. All of the stats that you're like, "I wonder what a team does in this weird situations?", they seem to have.

+1 from me.

Love the site and have referenced it once or twice in NFL posts. I find that it has many uses in multiple sports.

RE: Feedback wanted: Team Rankings
I use this quite often. One time, in capping camp, we put together a list comparing Team Rankings, Grey Matter, ESPN Insider and CBS predictions. If they all agreed against the spread or total, we played it, hit at 70% that day. It doesn't always work, but if you aren't the best at capping teams, it's easy to cap other cappers, or something like that.

This is just a sampling of the great stuff going on over there (from John Ezekowitz of Harvard Sports):

I believe this discussion was had the other day about the increasing tightness of lines and lack of +EV out there in late Feb for NCAA hoops.

RE: Feedback wanted: Team Rankings
This seems to be a very informative stats and picks website. There is a lot of data on nba, which has been more difficult for me to find than football or NCAAB. Just browsed for a min though, so didnt get to dig too far into their picks or advanced baseball stuff. I look forward to going more in depth this weekend. Thanks BTB for providing the link!
