Euro 2012 Futures (Updated)
Updated Euro 2012 Futures
Germany +200 Spain +238 Portugal +650 France +810 Italy +925 England +1175 Czech Republic +4850 Greece +6350 Ukraine +14500 See any value in these numbers? I'm fairly certain you can count out the bottom three teams on the list. But is Ukraine in a similar position as the Netherlands: holding a lot of value on their futures IF they can advance past the group stage? I would actually consider placing a bet on Spain and Germany in this scenario. I feel like one of the two will win the event. Team that scares me the most: Italy. They always seem to do well in tournaments like this. Play for the draw (essentially) and win in PK's.

RE: Euro 2012 Futures (Updated)
Spain seems a tad more vulnerable than they've been in the past (2008 and 2010). Not having Villa up front hurts, and no Puyol in the back makes them just a tiny bit more shaky. I could conceivably see Portugal knocking them off in the semi's.
But you could've had Portugal at like 25-to-1 or something before this thing started, so it kinda sucks to take them now..

After game 1 went to +2750, A friend who knows his stuff about soccer thinks Czech Republic has a decent shot vs. Portugal in this next game. CZE at +4850 at 5D. Pretty easy hedge out for either team in the semis. ![]() twitter @VincentValour |

Instead of, or as well as, it might make sense to take a look at the golden boot winner. Mario Gomez is leading with 3, but if you like Spain, Fabregas is +1800 (2 goals), Torres +550 (2). Or, if you think England can make a run, they'll probably have to do it on Rooney's shoulders (+3200). |
