RE: Early Week 14 NFL Lines
yea, i think peeps are buying into "SD still has a shot!" and "SD is always on fire in december!" combined with Buffalo's 2nd half swoon (and long road trip).

i'm not touching this game, and i like SD a little (moreso at -4.5 than -7 of course!)

Anyone know what moved the line in the KC-Jets game? I liked the Chiefs at +9 but it's moved up to +10.5 and +11 at most spots...want to make sure I'm not missing anything before I pull the trigger.

I think it has to do with the Jets defense against the Chiefs offense, without a QB.

OR

Maybe the line is moving for a purpose, so that bettors can buy back on the Chiefs over 10??

RE: Early Week 14 NFL Lines
Speaking of surprising line moves, the Vikings/Lions game just went from 7 to 10-10.5 points. I know there's a chance Ponder may miss the game but Joe Webb starting at QB is not worthy of a 3 point downgrade on the spread, IMO. I watched how he played against the Eagles last year. Webb reminds me of a more athletic and slightly more accurate Tim Tebow. Additionally, AP managed to practice on Thursday and there's a chance he may play.

I already was leaning on the Vikings at +7. The Vikings have been live as of late and Detroit has D-line issues, a mediocre secondary, and what I think will be a one-dimensional offense against the Vikings decent run defense. I'm tempted to fall in love with getting double digits. Is there something I'm missing here? I looked at their injury report and nothing else stands out (I'm not including anyone who's already on IR, just any recent additions or news).

Wow. That is a surprising move. And it looks pretty good that AP is going to at least try to suit up. I agree with you on the Vikings. My only worry (nothing to really back this up but a worry nonetheless) is that this could be the game where the Lions just unleash weeks of frustration on a terrible secondary. This could be the week that the Lions get their shit together and just dominate an inferior opponent. Just a feeling.
