Covers has very strict rules for its experts. For instance, it is actually a written rule that cappers cannot call themselves "king," "world's best" or "No. 1."

The top play on Covers is a 10 star. If a capper has a 10-star play, the write up should be "above and beyond."

"If every play is a 10*, then the importance of the play is lost on the customer, in the same way that happened with the GOW, GOM and GOY."

Idk I'm an idiot with message boards. Here's what Covers said about their cappers know one has ever seen...

"With regard to GSP, Power and Chan, these cappers work exclusively for Covers along with Sean Murphy, they have all been around for quite a while , playing different contests and capping competitions over long periods of time and that is how they gained our attention and we approached them to join the Covers Experts to much success. Some of them as you may understand prefer to stay out of the limelight and Covers is only happy to oblige their intentions."

How does doing betting related videos or making appearances in Vegas and Covers events have anything to do with staying out of the limelight?

And what an oxymoron...Isn't a Touts main purpose to be in the limelight?

Sean Murphy is actually legitimate. Power I have no clue but actually lean toward him being real.

Chan I've been told is completely fabricated and was created to target Covers' Philippine demographic.

I'll take your word for it on Murphy but why aren't there any videos or other pictures anywhere of this Sean Murphy person? No one else heard about Sean Murphy until he appeared in Covers. I haven't seen any pictures or videos and I looked all over the internet. By creating Chan I think they tried to get capture the asian market as well as lure people who hear about the asian betting syndicate that has taken millions of dollars from offshore and vegas sportsbooks.

Sean Murphy or whoever the made up person is under that name I'm 98% sure was made up. In a November 2006 interview when he was introduced to Covers he responded to a question reguarding Covers he responded with the word "our". He made it sound in his reply that he was an owner or one of the owners of Covers. If someone asked you a question about the site you just got added to as a handicapper you wouldn't use the word "our". I believe he slipped in this interview and no one caught it. Someone at the site might be posting plays and acting as Sean Murphy but there isn't one shred of proof that a real person with that name who is a sports handicapper actually exists.

I can tell you that I've exchanged e-mails with a Sean Murphy before, and his write-ups and overall handicapping approach seems fairly sound. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt here, but you very well could be right.

I also confirm that Sean Murphy is legit. I have spoken with him on the phone and worked with him on several stories for Covers and know someone that has met hm in person. I've also seen his longterm record and he is one of the few that finished above .500 in at least college football last year.
