[Beyond the Bets]

Mike Pelfrey is on the mound for the Mets today. The guy sucks. The Mets discussed cutting him during spring training and then decided to keep him. How long he'll last remains to be seen, but somehow he's entering his seventh season in New York despite an overall losing record — which is next to impossible in that town.

He's up against Edwin Jackson, who is playing for his eighth team in the last seven years and sucks just as bad.

The over/under is 7 ½.

Whoever places the largest bet on the Nats/Mets under 7 ½ (and posts the ticket), will be designated as BTB's Poster of the Week.

If the bet actually wins, you become the Poster of the Month.
