CBB Saturday
BetOnline has already released their college basketball lines for tomorrow.

An interesting one that stood out is UNLV PK vs. Illinois.

Will analyze more a bit later, but just wanted to get this ball rolling.

RE: CBB Saturday
I jumped on Elon -3.5 @ Dartmouth. I'm riding Elon into the sunset....

Also, some guy named Todd Fuhrman has started a little blog. He included some information that came from Stuckey2 (I honestly don't know anything about him, although I know most of you do) about some teams that are playing tomorrow.

Find me here.

RE: CBB Saturday
Why is Primetown looking at CBB without posting his BPL thoughts first? It's madness!

Panic

RE Stuckey2: He's been on a pretty streak lately, but he's really hard to follow on Twitter. 75% of his tweets are just him re-tweeting someone else telling him how hot he's been lately. It didn't seem like he every gave out any useful information (just posted his plays), so I quit following him.

Need some time to focus on the Premiership... I'll work on it early this evening.

Sort of right on Stuckey... who needs to see someone retweeting how good you are lately.

Stuckey is worth the follow. He's admitted as much that the constant praise is getting to his head a little. He doesn't go into detail on his plays but I'm ok with that- he'll answer questions if they're asked. I consider him pretty reputable a la So Money, primarily for CBB. I haven't tailed him on anything else.

Todd Fuhrman has endorsed him on Twitter (and now his blog) so I'm gonna listen at least. I don't follow him blindly but I'll take his plays strongly into consideration.

RE: CBB Saturday
I'm going to suggest getting on Florida vs A&M. We are well past due for the fade. Our offense is NOT good and we'be been unable to blow anyone at all out. I'd take Florida up to about -12. Line opened at -8.5 and quickly went to -9.5

I'm in for 2 units at -9.5 and may re-buy depending on tonight's results.

RE: CBB Saturday
Im looking at Temple +5.5. Temple is the better here and I think they are better by a decent amount. Game is Texas does favour longhorns, but I have been fading the longhorns to success at times this season and this is probably their toughest test so far. 5.5 is too many points. I was thinking +1. +2.

Texas' best win is at UCLA and after that Rhode Island? They havent played tough competition yet while Temple has played Purdue, Villanova, Wichita State, which will get you tested for sure.

May even look at playing the ML. have to look to see if their are any injuries for the Owls.

This is the big one that sticks out to me.

RE: CBB Saturday
Here's what I like so far (as everyone moves to the edge of their seats):

Elon -6 What Ryan said
So. Ill -3.5 Two bottom feeders here with maybe last chance for a win this season. SIU will work harder to get it. A few standout stats - SIU goes to the line 22 times a game, NIU 14. SIU is ranked by KP as 29 in forced TO's and 9 in steals.
NC State + 7 Just think this will be a close game. Syr first road game and Marshall, on the road held them to 6 and so did Stanford. NCS will be up for this one.

I also like Louisville at home, just don't know about the number. There's a coaching problem in Memphis. This is the same Memphis team from the Maui tourney. Same problems ie early foul trouble for Tarik etc.

RE: CBB Saturday
Considering a tease of Temple and NC State... can't see either team losing by double digits.

Texas has played better of late (albeit against inferior competition) which should raise their confidence level. Still, they don't experience a defense like Temple's D every day.

A tease brings NC State up to +12ish... lot of points for Syracuse to cover in a road game. NC State is improved this season and is a possible tournament team. First real road game for the Cuse as well... I like fading high level teams in this spot.

RE: CBB Saturday
One interesting line for me:

Baylor +1.5
Baylor has beaten a couple of good teams in NC State and @Northwestern. BYU has beaten some decent teams (Oregon and @Nevada), but have lost to a very good Wisconsin and Utah St.

Anyone else have a thought on this one?

Like Baylor catching points, even though they are on the road.

There's a whole lot to consider before taking a side on this game:

1. Players. BYU will be without their 6th man, Stephen Rogers. He's 6-8 and is one of their top outside shooters. Double whammy since they're already at a slight rebounding disadvantage. Also, each team is getting a player back- UCLA transfer guard Matt Carlino for BYU and Cal transfer guard Gary Franklin for Baylor. BYU is hoping Carlino is the next Jimmer, but he'll be playing his first collegiate game. Franklin is only slightly less hyped and will be also coming off the bench for Baylor.

2. BYU home court advantage. 1 loss at home in the last 49 games. Don't forget, BYU is used to playing at a high altitude.

3. Key matchup to me: Baylor's 2-3 zone vs BYU's outside shooters. Can Baylor slow down BYU's 3 point barrage? Their top four 3 point shooters shoot at a 40% clip or better. Baylor's size will help...maybe.

4. Can Baylor stay focused? This is the million-dollar question. IMO, I think this is why Scott Drew scheduled a game that most BCS schools wouldn't dare consider. When I watched Baylor last year, they'd get wins due to their talent. But they'd lose games because of terrible poise and decision making.

My conclusion: I'm actually a believer in Baylor this year- I think they're improving in their poise. I think they can dominate the paint on offense, defense, and the boards. However, I think the best play on this game is the over, as this will be a fast paced game.

RE: CBB Saturday
Baylor was very close two years ago... they gave Duke the most problems during their championship run. If it wasn't for an incorrect charge call, it would likely have been Baylor in the Final 4 instead of Duke.

Baylor just seems to produce athletes. Year in, year out one of the longest front lines in the country. Shooting in the past has been an issue. And with Lace Dunn gone, someone else will have to fill those shoes.

I'm not a believer in BYU this year and I grabbed Baylor at +3 when it first opened.

RE: CBB Saturday
Had FIU +17, thinking, how can Dayton be favored by 17 over anyone?

FIU leads by 8 after the first half. In great shape with a 25-point cushion.

Then FIU drops a giant stink pickle in the second half and scores 10 god damn points.

Awful.
