Just took a very quick look at these. Figured I would start up this thread to get the conversation going.

Here is my 1st question:
WEEK 11: Philadelphia Eagles -3.5 at Washington Redskins
WEEK 16: Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles -9

How can there be such a big difference between these two games? I know home field factor is around 3pts but that still doesn't explain the -9 in week 16. Are they saying the 'Skins will likely be out of the Playoff race by week 16?

Like I said, this is just a first quick glance but any insight is appreciated. Also don't limit this to just the Eagles...I just happened to look at them first

Was looking at the Week 16 numbers under this premise: Which teams will have playoff spots locked up already? Seems like TEN +11 will come down significantly if GB has a playoff spot wrapped up already. MIN seems like it could be the same way +10 vs HOU if HOU has already clinched the division. Anyone else thinking that far ahead?

Yes that is where my thoughts were headed when trying to figure out the difference between Week 11 & Week 16 of Eagles v. Skins.

Ditto for Patriots at Jacksonville (+9)

Is it too speculative to put an early wager on these now and then hope for a middle opportunity late in the season??

No. I actually think that's the best way to approach these lines. Although, as a Seahawks fan, I don't think they should be favored over the Cowboys early in the year (even if it is at home).

But the best value will be found in the games late in the season.

Arizona is way too underated. Watch out for them this year. My sleeper pick. Not a fan just got a good feeling i will make a great amount off them if this is how they predict things will be. Wish football was year round already ready for it and it's months away.
