RE: Bovada Payout Issues
OK, folks ...
I think my negativity, although much of it is rooted in genuine sarcasm, has perhaps gone a bit too far and has reached the point where suddenly it isn't so constructive. Here's reality: Bovada is a very strong book that has one of — if not the best — payout reputations in the industry. Seriously, it's a good book. I wouldn't recommend it if I thought it was crap. There are plenty of scam books that want to take your money, that want to screw you, that want to bend you over backwards and gauge you any chance they get. Bovada is not one of those books. I've spoken with their representatives and they are actively trying to resolve any disputes that players have. Some of the issues, and you probably don't want to hear this, are beyond their control. Payment processing is constantly changing. The industry is constantly changing. Banks are increasingly having more issues. And so on. In short, while they are striving to pay out within a reasonable time frame, there might be delays on occasion — delays that, like it or not, you might have to deal with. I'd encourage you to contact the rep on the forum, and if that doesn't work, you can provide me with your information and I can try to contact someone on your behalf. Bovada is a good book and is worthy of being one of your "outs," and there's a reason why SBR has given them an A-rated label. While payout delays are an inconvenience, they're very minor ones in the grand scheme of things — particularly when you look at the issues that are constantly ongoing at lesser books with poor ethics. Anyways, thanks again to the Bovada rep for coming on the forum, and you have my word that I'll be more respectful to you and your brand going forward. At least as long as you continue to provide help to players. (And provided you sponsor a MLB contest!? )

RE: Bovada Payout Issues
wow reading all these post, sure has me concerned about getting my check..I requested a payout on March 1 for $2700, and I am on "business" day 13. I have emailed them several times for tracking numbers and they reply that as soon as they get it, I will too..I really hope to get my check soon. I have also emailed them about concerns about getting my check from all the forums that I read, and they assure me that my check will be here soon..I hope they are right, I will surely keep eryone informed, on when I actually receive the check and how long it took for funds to be available.
thanks for this forum.. and I really like playing here at Bovada.... |

RE: Bovada Payout Issues
Paying the fee sucks, but if you really need the money fast, they do offer bank wire for $50.
I cashed out a couple of days before the book changed to bovada, and had a lengthy delay in getting my check. With that being said, growing pains are to be expected, and once I got the check it cleared with no issues. Hopefully they resolve their issues. Bovada is one of the more user friendly books. twitter - @LineProjector |

RE: Bovada Payout Issues
Update:
I got my tracking number. The check should arrive tomorrow. So, if you are using Bovada just expect about a month to get paid. I believe there are better options, but there are certainly worse options as well. |

RE: Bovada Payout Issues
wow 18 business days and nada...I did email bovada and they can only tell me that my check will be delivered by DHL and they have no other information, other than I will receive my check very soon..well, I contacted DHL and they did find my information and gave my my tracking number, my check is in Singapore and I still wont get it til April 2nd. that would be exactly 1 month waiting for payout. as long as I get my check and it cashes, at this point I dont care. I just want my money...and knowing me, I will probably still play there, just knowing any payout will come a month later.

Requested a payout of $1,000 last night, will keep everyone updated on the situation. Bodog has always been good to me, not expecting anything different this time.

Along the same lines, since I started using offshore books back in the late 90's, I've always used Western Union (and more recently Money Gram) to get my payouts. The fee does suck, but for me it's worth it, as part of the fun of hitting a big win is getting the money in my hands. If I had to wait a month or even a week for that money, it wouldn't feel the same. However, the down side of paying (at minimum) a 10% fee of the withdraw amount is that I won't withdraw money unless my balance gets over $500. There have been times when I will get to $450, be one win away from a cash out, and then hit a cold streak and it's gone. So yeah, I can understand why it would be important to be able to withdraw funds w/out paying a huge fee. |

RE: Bovada Payout Issues
Requested check by courier payout on March 11th. I am now on my 17th day and still no tracking number given. Since Bovada told me it was sent out via Fedex, I called FEDEX to check if there's anything going to my home address and they said NO. I've been calling Bovada almost everyday to check and all they say is that it's been sent out and I should be getting it soon. Lucky you glitter I hope I get it also on the 18th day which is tomorrow?

RE: Bovada Payout Issues
I found this forum while searching specifically for Bovada payout complaints. I too have been worried about recent payout and wondering if there were cash flow issues. Been on and off Bodog/Bovada user for a few years but especially so recent year or two. Requested a $700 payout by check/courier on Mar. 31st and Approved on April 1st. Suffice to say I am still waiting 23 days/16 business days later. Contacted Cust. Svc. and seem to be getting eerily similar responses as I read in some of these posts. "At this time, we are waiting for the tracking number and once received, it will be posted to your Bovada account messages. While we do our best to ensure all checks are delivered within the stated timeframe, delays occasionally come up as we are relying on our third party payment providers to actually process checks." I just find it rediculous in the age we live in that it takes 3-4+ weeks to have someone cut a check and send it. At this point I am looking for a more reliable sportsbook with faster payouts for US clients. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is it safe to say that they are out of the transition period and that this has become unacceptable?

RE: Bovada Payout Issues
Sorry to hear about the payout issues guys.
Personally I've never had a payout issue. Actually, let me rephrase that...I have had issues with not winning enough to request payouts, but once requested I've always received. However, I have never (in 15 years of using offshore books) requested a check. I only use Western Union and/or Moneygram. Paying a fee for a payout sucks, but I feel it's well worth it to avoid these types of situations. Once I make my request, I've never waited longer than 36 hours to receive my MTCN. If you make your request early enough, you might be able to pick up money same day. That being said, I only request withdrawals once my balance gets over $500 (or else I feel it's not worth it to pay the fee). I use sbgglobal.com |

RE: Bovada Payout Issues
Are you guys withdrawing after a big win? or taking out your entire bankroll.. something to that effect? I'd imagine that most books -- although it wouldn't really be fair -- might take a bit longer when you basically close your account with a big withdrawal. Especially if you're winning more than losing.
I bet if Person A deposited $5,000 and lost $3,000 in January and then won $200 in February before requesting a $500 payout.. the withdrawal would process much fast than lets say.. Person B depositing $5,000 in January and winning $6,000 in Jan/Feb before requesting a payout of $10,000. Something like that. I don't want to say that certainly happens with offshore books, but then again, who knows.
