Bovada.lv is the new Bodog
The site is expected to be up by 11 a.m. ET. For those of you with Bodog accounts, you shouldn't experience any changes. Your account balances, as well as any pending bets you might have, will all be transferred over.

RE: Bovada.lv is the new Bodog
Anyone have experience with this group at all? I currently use BetOnline (have used Bookmaker and BetUS in the past). Look for a site with more futures possibilites and more in game opportunites, as well as buying points.

Definitely going to check this one out. I do like that they are honoring all plays made even before the transition. Looks like they are doing it the right way. Have to give them credit, considering there have been so many other books/poker sites that just threw all customer service out the window with change.

Is Latvia the new safe haven for gambling sites?

And if you're curious, the .lv is supposed to make you think Vegas, but the domains are actually under the jurisdiction of Latvia. So, bone up on your Latvian legal practices.

I suppose there are enough people who might make that connection though, and for those who don't, it really doesn't change anything. |

Look for a site with more futures possibilites and more in game opportunites, as well as buying points. I have both. If you place bets before Thursday and Friday in the NFL, Bodog isn't for you. Their lines come out much later in the week than BOL. However, the Bodog lines are usually different for a good chunk of the games (one of the main reasons why I never closed my account) so you can take advantage of them. They do have a good selection of futures bets. I place all of my futures at Bodog and do most of my regular betting at BOL, but Bodog doesn't blow BOL out of the water with futures betting by any means. The buying points options are better on BOL, in my opinion. I'm not sure about in game betting. I've never utilized that on Bodog. Twitter:@JSpauny |

RE: Bovada.lv is the new Bodog
Bodog/Bovada is the book of choice if you bet dogs and unders. It's a very, very square book and you'll often pay an extra point to point and a half for favorites and certain overs.
But, if you wait it out on dogs until right around tip/kick off, you're almost guaranteed to get the best of the number. I find a lot of frustration with Bodog because of how late lines are released and a limited number of CBB totals to bet. Follow me: @skatingtripods |

So, if you're somebody who would rather take the six points than play a ML dog at +200, Bovada's for you. Follow me: @skatingtripods |
