Beware Hurricane Isaac
The first week, and already weather issues. This thing is supposed to hit around eastern La.- Alabama-- on Wed as a Cat2. If you're planning to bet any games in this region stay tuned to the Weather Channel. Thur night game between UTSA and S Alabama in Mobile could be affected. The storm is expected to head up the Mississippi River and could affect games on Sat with winds and rain. (Anybody remember that fast moving tropical storm about 10 years ago that formed very fast and caused torrential rain in a Thur night game between FSU/Louisville?)

Games to check on---

Rutgers/ Tulane
NTSU/ LSU
Ky/ Louisville
Jackson St/ Mississippi St
UT Martin/ Memphis
Cen Ark/ Ole Miss
Austin Peay/ W Ky
Troy St/ UAB

Yeah-- it looks to be tracking farther west now. Currently, Shreveport calls for 40% chance of rain Thur night.

Yeah, but it has to do with the other team getting into New Orleans. And, also, if it's safe to move around the city, etc.

Tulane has headed to Birmingham to wait out the storm.

Ah, that would be a bummer if A&M/LaTech gets pushed. That was one game I was most excited for this week.

Ditto. Been sitting on a La Tech bet for what seems like months.

If it's canceled, will be interested to see if the line does anything for A&M's next game vs. Florida. First game under a new coach, playing with a new QB, for the first conference game against an above-average SEC team.

RE: Beware Hurricane Isaac
FYI for New Orleans/Baton Rouge and coastal games on Saturday, storm will be long gone by the time those games kick off. Travel also will not be affected Friday.

Look for games in Missouri and southern Ill. to be getting some wet weather.

LaTech/A&M game got pushed to 10/13. Looks like we'll have to wait at least another month and a half for that one, yikes. Shaking Fist

A&M should have the kinks worked out by then. Not really a bad spot for either team. A&M plays @Miss the week before, hosts LSU week after; Tech plays UNLV at home before, Idaho at home after.

Curious to see what that line'll look like at open on October 7.

No bye week for A&M either this whole season and also takes away a preparation week for LSU. Not that A&M would have much of a shot, but getting a week off before a huge game at home could have made that interesting.
