Belmont June 9th selections and thoughts..
Race 7: #3 Smiling Tiger (5/2 ML)
Some think he might be off form but I think he's sitting on a big run. this will be his second race off extended layoff
and this is a very VERY nice animal and if hes him old self he will win this race..

Race 8: #4 Winter Memories (9/5 ML) is obviously the best horse in this race and will be very short odds but she is
trouble prone and I dont want to take the short odds.. #1 tapisfly (3-1 ML) might be the only speed. Maybe a 1-4 EXB.

Race 9: #5 Bourbon Courage (6-1 ML)
Looked like a monster in first two races at FG. Derby Trial ran 4th and got beat by heiro but there was amjor delay in that
race and it was on the slop. I think he can redeem himself at nice odds here.. Lots of speed in race to set him up. #9
trinniberg (7/2
) is an obvious contender and he loves 7 furlongs.

Race 10: #1 Omayad (LONGSHOT SPECIAL 12-1 ML)

Drysdale doesnt send horses cross country for nothing, this horse was a monster in Chile winning 7 out of 9 and three grade ones
ran well in an allowance race at HP.. This field is not grade 1 caliber imo.. I like this one a lot.

Main fear would be #6 Brilliant Speed (3-1 ML)..

Race 11: #5 DULLAHAN (BEST BET 9/5 ML)
horse is tearing down the barn and feeling great obviously working 45 and 4 BREEZING.
I'm expecting more speed with this one, he's capable of it if you go back to his last mdn race he laid 2nd
so dont think he'll be a far back closer.. I dont think Union Rags will enjoy this distance, Paytner is nice
but I dont think he's ready to win a big race like this and the rest of the field is nothing..

Dullahan is coming into this race in perfect form, should relish the distance.. I love his chances.

.. Dullahan should love this long distance

RE: Belmont June 9th selections and thoughts..
Just a whim but was checking out some breeding with some less bet horses in for tomorrow.
Five Sixteen has some breeding that might stand out a bit.( A Salt Lake Mare)

He finished 2.5 lengths out to Street Sense in his debut and raced wide in that event.
Has 2 races at 9 furlongs and seems to want longer,

There is no excessive amount of speed in this race (which could put the closer Dullihan to sleep) and he seems to be comfortable just off the pace.

He could be a horse for the course(salt lake liked NY)

His last race (which can be chalked up to youthfulness (acted up in gate) and labored to finish. (Another Salt lake trait- tendency to bounce)

Rosie aboard is a plus.
I can't believe the trainer would put the horse in without believing this horse could win a minor share of the purse.
I would suggest this guy be added in exotics.

I dont think dullahan will be that far off.. his last work was 45 and 4 breezing, he will be forwardly placed.

who do you like in the woody stephens?

IMO,that is where the winner will need to be ready to collar at the top of the stretch.
I really want to see the track bias before I commit to the Stephens.
Hardened wildcat is my lean but he will need a speed duel to win.
