Baseball Betting

Hey everyone,

After a long hiatus from betting due to work, I'm back in the game lol.

I've created a baseball model recently based on pitchfx and other variables and have been back dating it with some pretty excellent results. I'm going to post some plays pretty regularly here and see how the model is. Hopefully the success (or lack thereof lol) will spark some discussion and I can make tweaks as I go.

Anyway, hows everyone doing? Haven't talked to alot of you guys in awhile. Any tournaments going on or starting soon?

Devoted much of the last few months to NBA and college football prep. Will probably spend the next two months on college football prep while only dabbling in MLB. Pretty much bet baseball exclusively in April and May.

Thanks BtB... yeah i actually read your writeup on betting MLB early in the season. very interesting. I'm actually tweeking my nfl model as we speak. Can't wait to put the model to test in year 2 after a solid year 1.

Welcome back, wally! I'm personally trying to decide if I'm even going to bet baseball, or just hold off on betting until CFB and NFL season. Would be interested to hear about your system.

Hey Chief what's happening? Yeah i've never done well in baseball.. not bad.. just not good either... Nothing compared to NFL... but i decided to try to build this model to see how it is...Once I finish backdating it for atleast a few more months, i'm going to do a big write up about it. As of now, its pretty solid overall, im just trying to find some trends... But I want to start tallying up picks before i do a write up so here i go.

Reds over Brewers (-133)
Houston over SD (-148)
SF over LAD (-118)
NYY over Cle (-176)
Bos over Tor (-146)
Texas over Det (-160)


Again, i'm not going to do write ups backing my picks yet until i compile a few days or a weeks worth of picks to solidify some trends.
