Its almosr criminal what some tout services do. Hard to put into words just how ridiculous this is.

Also reason #14965 why you should never, ever pay for picks.

Dang! I was ready to shell out hundreds for their picks. Any service that's winning A MILLION DOLLARS is sure to never let me down! Dubious

It will be interesting to see if NGC can do anything about it. But I'm not sure what's within their boundaries. Also, I tried contacting ATS Consultants by phone today.

They appeared clueless but I was told Runco would return my email.

There will be no response. They are speechless now and nothing they say can fix the "problem." Think about it.. if you were a tout service, and someone asked you if you doctored a betting slip or asked why you did it ... would you answer? No.

Agreed...plus you can't photoshop a phone conversation.

These scumbags will See ya with the $$ they have already ripped and probably try to find a way to repackage their crap in time for NFL/NCAA football season.

The beauty (and curse) of the internet. They can always just change their name and come back and try to scam their way to more money.

It's sad. People like that are what keeps holding this industry back.

Why write a press release about it, though. They HAD to know someone would check it out. That was a ridiculous claim.

I really wish there was a way to regulate the business. It would legitimize the honest services and weed out the scammers. There are people out there trying to do the right thing but these incidents get 95% of the publicity.

RE: ATS Consultants doctor fake betting slips
I stand corrected. I cannot believe they apologized. To me, it wasn't even sincere. They tried to cover up the lie with another lie:

"Our marketing team is always thinking of ways to showcase our successes. We did make these predictions, and the amounts shown on the images were a projection of the money our clients won based on these forecasts. We thought having images of winning tickets would make these successes more easily relatable to current and prospective clients. In hindsight, it was just a poorly conceived marketing tactic."

They are basically saying that people misinterpreted their intentions, since the tickets were only a "dramatization."

All-in-all... just another day in the handicapping industry.

I do feel bad for those that are doing things right. It must get harder and harder every time something like this happens.

In my opinion, the problem isn't the touts and scammers but the "public" that continues to invest in the touts and scammers.

I think this is a good example though of the extremes that touts or having to go to today to remain in business. The "public" is continually becoming more informed and I think the tout industry market is slowly winding down (I say "tout" industry meaning true "touts" and not respected "sports advisors" like Edward form Right Angle Sports).

Maybe they subscribe to the theory of "Any press is good press." Some people will accept any excuse they provide, because they want them to be legit, so in the end it may not hurt their standing with the people that would be willing to pay them anyways. Could be brilliant in the long run.

Just thought the same thing. They probably got more traffic from this than they ever had. Btb making touts famous.

Luckily, our friends at Google rarely forget things like this, and so anybody who searches ATS Consultants will likely be directed to one of the scam links, including their apology.

That's not good for business.

My friend bought their basic bases package this year. I have every pick recorded at SBR. They are big marketers for sure. They also scan the service plays threads to see who is leaking out the plays.

It's definitely not a one-man shop, that's for sure. I get the impression that there's an actual "team," but I could be wrong.
