RE: 24 HOURS OF BASKETBALL BEGINS TONIGHT!
I have already wagered on Northern Iowa / St Marys Under 129.

UNI is one of the slowest paced teams in the nation and they put people on lockdown on defense. It's pretty normal to see their games in the 50s.

SM returns 7 guys who averaged 10+ mpg last season, 5 juniors, 3 seniors.

NI has 4 juniors and 1 senior.

I don't think either team really stands out here, which would make me lean to taking the points, but not sure I like that thinking above.

I like the under in UNI-St. Marys game, I am seeing 129.5 currently. UNI's style combined with off starting time will keep total down.

BTB -- can you tweet your plays? I will be at work tomorrow ALL day, but would like to play along with your (BTB site's) 24-hr hoops. It is much easier to jump twitter and then bet than try and flip through pages on the site. Much appreciated and let's hope for a great day of hoops!

First of all, shame on you guys for not catching my reference from "The Program": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107889/

Second, I think I'm going to try a little experiment myself. For every game we win, I'm going to put up 130% on the next game. Basically "letting it ride" on part of my first win. I'll keep a running total on how it turns out on a $100 bet average.

Are those bets really worth it?Dunno

I think the value isn't good enough on two teams that could potentially lose outright as doube-digit favorites.

LOVE the UNI-St. Mary's under 128.5. By my count, 25 of UNI's 34 games ended under that total in 2010-11.
UPDATE: But only 7 of St. Mary's 34 games ended up under that total. Hmm...

I know realize how stupid my question was early as to when the first game was...I thought this started with the 7pm games...my apologies. I'll be better.

A 'capper that generally has pretty good NCAAB reads is leaning UNI +11 for that game. I'm still looking at some data.

All I did was look at the roster on Yahoo. Deep roster, much deeper than what most teams show. So I imagined they'd give a lot of guys a look. I guess calling them young was a bit off.

I'm leaning either UNI +11 or the under in this one. I can guarantee this, if we take the over, we're all going to be punching ourselves in the face watching UNI lock down on defense.
